The actual benefits this small addition would bring imho is massive. Not just for analytical purposes, but also to allow AIP creators an additional audience to target when looking for ideas, reasons, ways forward for passing their proposals when they have failed first time around etc.
Let’s get this moved to VOTE asap pls

Great idea.
It could add utility IF votes In Favor had to at least be above a certain percentage of total votes including Abstain?
Just a thought. Been here since the start but haven’t sorted out the connections to post until today, or to vote yet. Looking forward to doing so, or abstaining if that becomes an option.

Nice to hear from you on the forums! 
Earlier last year, I had a similar idea that a passing vote would need to get at least the same amount of $ae in votes as the AIP is asking for funds. But these ideas relate to our voting mechanism and are more complex to implement than adding an abstain choice to snapshot.
We can discuss different options, including yours, in the Governance Focus Group on discord. Have you joined the Apecoin DAO working Group 0 server?

Thank you! I tried Discord briefly awhile ago and didn’t vibe with it. Others have suggested the Group 0 server and it sounds like that’d be more my kind of thing so will renew my Discord access and join soon.

After review, this Topic submitted by @Amplify is now ready to be put to a vote. The proposal will be posted on Snapshot at the next weekly release, which is tomorrow the 26th of January, 2023 at 21.00 EST (02.00 UTC the following morning)

This proposal is live for Snapshot vote at Snapshot . The voting period closes next Wednesday at 9PM ET.
The AIP implementation is administered by the Ape Foundation. Implementation may be immaterially or materially altered to optimise for security, usability, to protect APE holders, and otherwise to effect the intent of the AIP. Any material deviations from an AIP, as initially approved, will be disclosed to the APE holder community.
