PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION:

Background:

Authentication certificates serve as a crucial means of verifying the authenticity and provenance of items across various RWA (Real World Asset) industries, from luxury goods and automobiles to collectibles like sports trading cards. These are validated by industry-specific experts. The actual certificates are used to verify the authenticity, security and legitimacy of products, services and/or digital assets, and preserve value.

Some examples of industries currently using these:

1. Luxury Goods (Watches, Jewelry, Fashion)

Authentication certificates confirm that an item (e.g., designer handbag, luxury watch, or fine jewelry) is genuine and produced by the claimed brand. High-end counterfeits are on the rise and have become a problem, resulting in the increased need for third-party authentication

2. Automobiles (Classic & High-End Cars)

Certificates of Authenticity will verify the car’s originality, including its make, model, year, and sometimes even its performance or condition.

3. Sports & Pokemon Trading Cards and Collectibles

Authentication ensures that items are not counterfeit, altered, or tampered with. This protects buyers in the growing market for valuable collectibles.

4. Art and Antiques

Authentication certificates serve to validate the artist or creator, the period of production, and the historical provenance of a piece. This is especially important as the market for art and antiques involves high-value, unique pieces that can be vulnerable to forgery.

5. Wine and Spirits

Certificates of authenticity verify that high-end wines or collectible spirits (like vintage whiskies) are genuine and have been stored properly, maintaining their value and taste.

THE PROBLEM

Authentication certificates face many issues:

  • Counterfeit certificates
  • Loss or damage of physical certificates
  • Inconsistent verification standards
  • Over-reliance on certificates
  • Technological limitations
  • Difficulty in tracking ownership
  • Time and Cost

The existing web2 RWA authentication business is extremely profitable but it is decentralized. Each individual third-party authentication company has their own authentication process (e.g. submitting photos and/or sending in the original item), and once authenticated, they generate a PDF, paper, weblink, or NFC card as the Authentication Certificate.

THE SOLUTION

  • Blockchain provides a transparent, tamper-proof ledger to verify the provenance of physical or digital items, reducing the risks of counterfeiting.
  • This patent-pending white-label platform will generate an NFT digital certificate along with digital identity verification of the buyer/owner.
  • Only the user can see their identity via private key access. In addition to serving as an authentication certificate, It will convert a RWA into a “Digital Twin”, where a photo/video of the actual RWA item will have an authenticated badge that can be used as an PFP.
    • Imagine flexing your $80,000 Birkin Bag, a $100,000 Audemars Piguet Watch, a 2 Million dollar Ferrari as your PFP, where the PFP guarantees you are the authentic owner.
    • When the actual RWA item is sold, once transferred to the new owner, the original NFT will be burned and a new one created, but a log of past owners will remain on the most current NFT.
  • Conversion to an NFT will guarantee ownership and authenticity and track resale of the item. NFT Showroom will be the universal B2B platform where multiple industries can utilize one platform for RWA authentication.

BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM:

NFT Showroom will be the universal B2B platform where multiple industries (e.g. luxury goods, high-end car companies, wine/spirits, collectibles, sport trading cards) will gain exposure to ApeCoin ecosystems.

NFT Showroom drive value to the ApeCoin ecosystems in several ways:

  • Rewarding the ApeCoin Community & DAO: If fully funded, 10% of gross revenue will go back to the ApeCoin community & DAO for 3 years (to be disbursed at end of year, once a year, to make it simple and convenient for tracking). *See Chart - Average projected returns in 1 year (0.1% market share) is 6.2 Million, 3 years (1% market share) is 54.7 Million. This equates to $620,000 USD in 1 year, 5.4 million in 3 years..

  • Promote the usage of ApeCoin: NFT Showroom customers will be able to utilize ApeCoin to purchase authentication certificates for their RWA’s using highly reputable third-party authentication companies. ApeCoin holders will receive a discount with NFT Showroom B2B customers.

  • Collaboration with partner companies to offer additional perks to ApeCoin Dao members. These successful companies are lined up and waiting to utilize the platform for their businesses

    • CryptoAutos (UK-based web3 platform, https://www.cryptoautos.com)
      • They sell high-end luxury vehicles using crypto and are eager for ApeCoin DAO members to be able to utilize their $APE for purchase
    • OBI Real Estate (US-based web3 platform, https://obirealestate.com)
    • **Unnamed Global Luxury Goods Authentication ve letters of intent to initiate business with NFT Showroom.
  • Reward ApeCoin DAO members who are able to generate B2B sales leads with real world asset authenticators in auction houses, luxury goods, real estate, sneakers, sports trading cards, collectibles and any relevant industry!.

  • Collaborations with existing Made By Apes (MBA) businesses for their authentication needs. We aim to promote existing members within the ApeCoin community, especially since many have businesses in this space.

  • Onboard existing web2 users seamlessly into a web3 environment: NFT Showroom will be able to drive web2 customers into downloading an app & digital wallet to retrieve their NFT authentication certificates. Customers will gain exposure to ApeCoin and community.

  • OTHER - NFT Showroom is open to community feedback and innovative ideas to enhance this project and how to give back to the ApeCoin/DAO Community. I would love community input on this**

How does this platform compare / contrast to Beezie on Blast?

Great question!!! Thank you for the comment!! I mentioned I have no direct competitors as there are many others that have ideas that seem similar but are in fact, are completely different. Courtyard is similar to Beezie

  1. Beezie are selling collectibles that have already been graded. I’m creating a digital twin at the paint of the authentication (ie the person who grades the Pokémon or sports card trading card). This allows the ability to a) get a true expert opinion on authentication and b) ability to capture a high quality digital twin that can serve as a secondary purpose to flex as PFP with an authentication badge . The authenticator is the one who is able to capture the best digital image of the actual item. If you notice on their website they are selling the image of a card that is already graded - imagine a secondary use of your RWA card? This tech and idea are patent pending in US and other countries

  2. The “digital twin” NFT that my platform creates is an authentication certificate - the certificate itself does not hold value. The certificate will also have the owners name (which is only available to the owner and the authenticator for privacy reasons), and it can be used for legal and/or for insurance verification purposes (eg prove ownership of a rare Pokémon card). Again, I’m not tokenizing or fractionalizing the item, it is an authentication certificate that has a digital twin PFP.

  3. Beezie similar to Courtyardio, are both platforms that are vaulted. This means the seller does not have access to the item. They both use BRINKS. Vaulting is specific for sports and Pokémon trading cards industry, but it is not used in luxury goods, cars, watches, or other real world assets that people want to use and wear

  4. I have two leads in this industry who I am working to partner with and build tech that is specific to the sports trading card industry. I’m an avid sports trading card collector myself who knows a lot of the big influencers and traders in this space. I want people to be able to trade and resell cards from a vault, or in person. Right now those platforms don’t allow for that

Sports card trading is a very wholesome activity where the “Hobby” encourages others to join through a lot of “live trades”. I’m working on a solution that encompasses both. I’m a single mom with a 13 year old son and I take him to sports cards trading shows (took him to Nationals in August), and it’s part of my inspiration for this platform. We often buy and sell cards in stores, online and in person!

Lastly, mt platform targets ALL RWA industries, sports trading cards, real estate, jewelry, etc.

One size does not fit all so the funds are to build industry specific tech and one of those is sports trading and Pokémon trading cards. I’m working with one of the influencers on it

I would appreciate your support and vote for my project and I’m happy to take any comments or additional questions!!

I’ve attached a pic of my son and I at the Nationals Sports Card Trading in August 2024 where we got to custom make our own 1/1 cards!!

Hi ApeCoin DAO Community,

1. Your Overall Cost request is $249,000 USD, yet your four proposed funding tranches ($118,845 / $104,354 / $15,400 / $8,120.42) amount to $246,719.42. Please clarify.

Please update total AIP ask to $246,719.42.

2. One of your stated Benefits is that the platform would “Reward ApeCoin DAO members who are able to generate B2B sales leads with real world asset authenticators.” Please provide further details regarding these benefits.

I will provide commission to members who are able to bring forth B2B leads that result into B2B contracts with third party authenticators of real world assets (e.g. art authenticators, auction houses, sports or collectible grading companies, etc).

3. Please add “B2B” to your “Definitions” section, as you use it several times (undefined) in the proposal.

Done

4. Under Milestone #4, the following reads “Start Date – Upon completion of Milestone 4.” Do you mean to say “Milestone 3,” and if so do we have your permission to update it?

Yes, please update

5. For clarity, would your platform be providing NFT digital authentication certificates only, or would vendors also be able to procure paper/PDF/weblink versions of their certificates as well?

No, as offering any paper/PDF would circumvent the NFT. This is also specific to attorney counsel and the immutability. Just like we don’t have a PDF/paper/weblink for BAYC/MAYC. I do anticipate people will screenshot as they do with NFT’s.

6. Your platform would produce a “digital twin” NFT of a RWA where the actual RWA would have an authenticated badge. In the event of wallet loss, theft or other accidental loss, would there be a way to rescind authentication of this NFT should an additional authentication need to be performed? Or are multiple authentication certificates of the same asset permissible?

The actual RWA will not have any badge on it, just the digital twin photo of the NFT. Yes, part of future development is for a user to log back in with KYC to prove it is them, so they can retrieve it. The KYC is the critical part.

7. In the event of an NFT Showroom-authenticated RWA changing owners, would the metadata of the “digital twin” NFT be updatable should the owner opt to transfer the NFT along with the RWA to the new owner?

When the actual RWA item is sold, once transferred to the new owner, the original NFT will be burned and a new one created, but a log of past owners will remain on the most current NFT.

8. Your Overall Cost of $249,000 USD constitutes “Asking for ApeCoin DAO to help fund 77% of the total raise ($320,413.68 USD).” Have you already secured the remaining $71,413.68? Please provide proof of funds, or your proposal may be returned. Conversely, you may modify your proposal to request the entirety of the funding needed to fully execute your proposal.

I sent the paid invoices in the private chat where I’ve paid for portions via business line of credit, hence the need for funding.

9. Is there an expected schedule for the distribution of revenue back to the DAO treasury?

End of year, once a year, to make it simple and convenient for tracking.

10. Is the individual/team/business entity prepared to facilitate the distribution of gross revenue back to the Foundation in a way which is compliant with both the relevant local regulations and Cayman regulations?

I was planning to just send back one large amount of ApeCOIN to whatever wallet you let me know. I’m open to suggestions and guidance.

11. Since your app would require token holders to connect wallets, what are the plans for security audits of the app?

Yes, I have plans for smart contract, security audits to be done regularly. The patent actually has a technology where it minimizes the time frame in which it can be hacked (hence the patent). But yes, on top of that, security and private are my main concerns and audits will be performed regularly. I also have a contract hacker I plan to hire to try to hack it and provide me feedback on potential threats or weaknesses.

12. Do you have any estimated costs for users to use the platform’s features, or any premium features?

The costs are not determined by me – they are determined by the businesses (third party authenticators of real world assets), and what they decide to charge. I will negotiate with them to offer a discount for ApeCoin DAO holders. I’m a whitelabel that is just providing the software for the businesses.

13. Do you have plans to protect any collected user data? Please elaborate.

Yes, my attorneys are experts in privacy and have provided privacy disclaimers which will be available in the app. Only the contracted businesses and NFT Showroom will have user data that will be kept private and confidential.

14. Regarding any granted permission to use ApeCoin trademarks by the Ape Foundation, do you expect to maintain full ownership rights to the content and/or IP which may be created as a result of the approval of your proposal?

What do you mean by this? I am happy to use ApeCoin logo and abide by whatever guidelines are necessary.

15. Would your expectation be to keep complete ownership of all content produced from this proposal?

Are you referring to equity? Yes, I plan to keep equity. I was rejected by Banana Bill where I would have offered equity. Here I am offering revenue share so ApeCoin DAO owners can immediately get funds vs equity is a longer hold to get ROI.

16. As per the ApeCoin General Guidelines, “proposals will not be put up for vote if they involve illegal activity, hate speech, pornographic material, or are at odds with the mission or values of the APE Foundation.” Can you ensure that the content on the NFT Showroom RWA Authentication Certificate Platform would be in keeping with these guidelines?

Yes.

17. Your proposal states “The existing web2 RWA authentication business is extremely profitable but it is decentralized.” do you mean to say “The existing web2 RWA authentication business is extremely profitable but it is not decentralized?”

No, my statement is current. To elaborate, the art authenticators have their own system for generating certificates which is completely different from the luxury bag authenticators who have created various different platforms to generate PDF authentication certificates. Sports grading companies use a self-made platform and use a different method. Their technology for authentication certificate generation is decentralized and scattered.

18. For clarity, will authentication be handled by a third party that has yet to be selected?

I have listed some of the authenticators on the proposal – Crypto Autos for cars, OBI Real Estate, and I have other contracts underway that I can’t disclose yet.

19. Do you provide consent to apply updates to the relevant areas of your proposal based on your responses to the questions above?

Yes please

20. Do you provide consent to share these questions and answers with the community in this forum?

Yes absolutely

A DAR package is being worked on and upon completion this AIP will move into Administrative Review. Follow this Topic as further updates will be posted here in the comments.

Kind Regards,

-@Facilitators
