**Hi @tabarrial **

First of all, congratulations on such an innovative and creative proposal! :tada:

We absolutely love the idea of MutantsBeer and the way it bridges the ApeCoin ecosystem with the real world. It’s a bold move that truly reflects the spirit of Web3 and showcases the potential of ApeCoin in unique and engaging ways.

Your plan to integrate the ApeCoin brand into something as universal as beer is both fresh and inspiring. It’s not just about the product, but the story and community engagement behind it that makes it stand out. We’re confident this will draw attention to ApeChain and strengthen the connection between Web3 and the physical world.

We wish you the best of luck with the proposal and look forward to seeing
MutantsBeer come to life! :beers::muscle:

Cheers,
Makash

Thanks Makash!!

It’s a pleasure to spend countless hours in the trenches, pushing adoption into the physical world. I appreciate your support and your recognition.

Here we go!!

Mutants Beer is a no-brainer for me. These guys have been putting in the work for years, pushing Ape culture IRL without asking for anything. Now they’re bringing a real, sustainable way to get ApeCoin and ApeChain exposure in places - bars, stores, and people who don’t even know what Web3 is yet.

This isn’t just another “marketing campaign.” It’s actual utility. They’re giving Apes free IP use, bringing cash flow back to the DAO, and making beer a Trojan horse for onboarding new users into the ecosystem. Plus, they’ve already proven they can execute - just look at the 100+ events they’ve done.

We need more projects that bring tangible, real-world value to the DAO, and Mutants Beer is exactly that. Easy yes for me

Yooo, I am overwhelmed by your comment @doberdanny. Thank you for the support and confidence. It means a lot to us that it comes from you, a humble success builder who inspires us along the way. Culture, sustainable form, massive exposure, trojan horse, you’re in the details, you understood it all perfectly! You used just the right words to describe it. Thank you for your valuable words, it’s more than I can give you. We won’t let you down.

Hi ApeCoin DAO Community,

@tabarrial has responded to our questions and has provided consent to share them in this forum for the community.

1. Your imagery depicts certain cans with the ApeCoin “skull” logo, which has recently been updated to a revamped “gorilla.” You might reconsider updating these now-outdated images as well as ensure that future uses of the logo in branding resulting from this proposal are up-to-date. The ApeChain Brand Kit (which shares its gorilla logo with ApeCoin) can be found here.

Of course. We will update the logo to the new one everywhere in the following productions planned for this year.

2. One of your stated deliverables is “create custom cans to promote DAO partners like Animoca, Boring Security, Ape Express, Blever, and other DAO Members.” Have any of these listed entities expressed interest in participating in this deliverable, in writing or otherwise?

Let me clarify this point a bit:

For the brands mentioned, there are different situations. We’ve worked with Boring Security in MutantsBeer cans for over a year now, proudly helping spread their message and encouraging more people to join their classes. We’ve also had meetings with people at Animoca (though no agreement was finalized). As for Ape Express and Blever, there hasn’t been any contact from either side so far.

Our aim is to offer brands that choose to hold ApeCoin and actively participate in the DAO the opportunity to benefit from this exposure for free whenever they want.

The brands mentioned in the AIP should be seen as examples. They are all stakeholders and/or participants in ApeCoin, the DAO, or ApeChain, and this opportunity can be extended to others (like CryptoisFun), provided they meet certain requirements and demonstrate commitment to the DAO.

During the first phase of implementation, we’ll clearly define the necessary requirements. Additionally, as shown in the attached photos, we believe this initiative is important for Made by Apes brands that are contributing to the growth and enhancement of the BAYC ecosystem.

3. Your proposal would offer a “2.5% gross revenue annually, after reaching project sustainability.” How would this “sustainability” be determined, how would it be communicated, and at what point do you project to become “sustainable?”

Our plan for the first year is to establish the foundation for growth. In year two, we’ll focus on developing and scaling that growth. By year three, we anticipate that our revenue will exceed our expenses. At that point, we’ll begin contributing 2.5% of our annual gross revenue back to the DAO each year. We will ensure clear communication through our transparency reports or any other method required by the foundation.

4. Would the proposed 2.5% gross revenue return include NFT sales resulting from the “Grail Challenge?”

We designed the “Grail Challenge” as a self-sustaining game, not intended to generate profit. All proceeds from mints (priced at 1 $APECOIN per mint) will be used to purchase the next MAYC. To ensure the game’s operation, we’ll use a mechanism similar to Dookey Dash’s Golden Plugger.

The main benefit of this initiative is to drive adoption of APECHAIN, especially among those outside the ecosystem, thanks to the very low entry cost of just 1 $APECOIN per mint. At the same time, it creates a purchasing flow toward MAYC assets, leveraging the marketing claim “WIN a MAYC Grail” to attract participants by projecting the option of joining the club.

We will develop and communicate the details of the Grail Challenge so that everyone understands our proposal and how they can participate. In the future, the Grail Challenge game will be able to operate on-chain by implementing smart contracts.

Any other NFT collections we create—such as a membership collection (part of our long-term plans) or future collaborations generating on-chain revenue—will also count as gross revenue, with 2.5% being contributed back to the DAO.

5. Regarding your Reporting Expectations, when do you expect to deliver your final report?

We plan to present the final report once the fundraising is complete. We will continue to report our results to the foundation every year (at the end of the year).

6. Your Funding Tranches state: “Q3 2025: $140k (first week June 2025) / Q4 2025: $114k (first week September 2025).” These quarters would actually be “Q2” (June) and “Q3” (September). Do we have permission to make this edit?

Yes, you can make this edit. Thank you and sorry for the out of sync.

7. A line in your Overall Costs reads: “Representing the commitment of the founding team and inspired by AIP-463, if this AIP is passed, these are committed to contribute with an additional $100K to execute the plan.”

a.) Does the “these” in “these are committed to contribute” refer to the founding team? If not, please clarify.

Yes, that’s right. The founding team will add an additional 100K.

b.) Is this additional $100k critical to the complete implementation of this proposal? If so, please provide proof of these funds, else your proposal may be returned.

These are not critical for implementation, but are extra funds that the founding team will use to push forward some of our plans. We can run an ON-CHAIN test to prove their holding.

8. Regarding your Overall Cost section, please provide a more detailed budget breakdown of your Operational Costs and Participation in dozens of events.

We can divide the “Operating Capital” into two large parts:

Supporting start-up operations: Initial warehouse rental, initial vehicles, production costs, expenses in opening distribution channels, daily cash needed to start operations.

Staff costs: Payments to the people who will create the structures on which to growth.

As for participation in dozens of events. So far we have done more than 100 events. Our plan is to cover 100 more events during the next 2 years, but maybe it will be 90 or 120. Events are a big time investment for the team and we have to deal with long-term sustainability as a main focus. We will evaluate the events in which we participate, but we will definitely do dozens and dozens more events. We will publish the full list of events in our reports.

The budget for each event including product transport, equipment, audiovisual production, logistics and team expenses.

9. Since the “Grail Challenge” would require token holders to connect wallets, what are the plans for security audits of the platform?

We will use established reliable third-party platforms to perform the mint just like we did for our MVP on the BASE chain during Apefest.

Security is certainly an issue that concerns us, so it will be a widely used platform for performing mints and it should have safety reports. Minting, will be as an tech abstraction for us.

Everything that has to do with the game will happen previous to the mint, as a way to get to mint and we plan to combine online and offline strategies taking advantage of our “IRL” nature.

10. If you have already begun auditing the platform, please provide proof of the audit(s).

Security is certainly an issue that concerns us. As we discussed in the previous answer, security will be the responsibility of the mint platform. This approach allows us to abstract away from the technical complexities of maintaining security, while still allowing people to perform the mint. We will not develop this technology, but rather use one trusted platform.

11. Do you have any estimated costs for users to use the Grail Challenge platform’s features, or any premium features?

To incentivize participation in the APECHAIN ecosystem, there is no associated cost. The only cost will be the mint price of 1 $APECOIN for each puzzle piece.

12. Do you have plans to protect any collected user data? Please elaborate.

The data selected by the users will maintain the security standards and protection of shopify which we will use as a central tool to integrate our clients’ data. We want to do some additional auditing work here and that’s why one of our allocations is for the “Boring Security supporter grid” for be closer to the team, do questions and share info. We’ll be doing some technical work on our end and since Shopify is widely used by other MBA/APE builders, we think it’s a security field that makes sense to get involved in for the benefit of everyone.

13. How would the “250 new Apes/MBAs/DAO Members” be selected to be featured on upcoming cans, and how would the community be notified when this opportunity is presented?

We’ll notify the community at the start of each period and welcome any outreach anyone can give to reach out to more apes. We’ll detail some common sense rules in our “Ambassador Plan” prioritizing active apes in the community, local communities, unlisted apes, apes used from PFP, and apes with a builder track record in the community.

14. How many BAYC/MAYC holders would have the opportunity to include their IP earn revenue through your Ambassador Program?

Everyone who participates in the ambassador program will be eligible (initially, we are committing to 250 new semiannual participants). Additionally, we may include more apes digitally in the referral program, allowing them to start earning benefits from the sales they generate, whether online or offline.

15. You’ve mentioned a commitment to “Participate in dozens of events.” Have you chosen any specific upcoming events you’d plan to participate in at this time?

Absolutely. We are continuing to work in parallel to this AIP. We plan to participate in several side events during NFT Paris next February (some are yet to be announced). Additionally, as part of AIP-496 and its Creators Assembly package which we participated in (AIP-496: ApeCoin DAO at NFT PARIS 2025), we’ve been asking Dim and are awaiting further guidance since we’re not yet aware of the plans for the stand. We are also waiting more info for the recently announced “Paris ON APECHAIN” and we asked to YUGA team about this. Things are cooking.

We will repeat other major events in our area (such as NFC Lisbon, third consecutive year), although we depend on the approval of funds from this AIP to continue with our event planning.

16. Regarding any granted permission to use ApeCoin trademarks by the Ape Foundation, do you expect to maintain full ownership rights to the content and/or IP which may be created as a result of the approval of your proposal?

I am not sure I understand this question. The ownership rights to the DAO trademarks belong to the DAO, the ownership rights to the MutantsBeer and MAYC brand logos belong to us, and the rights to any additional items included on the cans belong to each owner. We do not plan to create any intellectual property by-products with the DAO logos and in any case, when the time comes, we will consult with the foundation to be perfectly aligned with this. We are aware that trademarks is a particularly relevant issue.

17. Would your expectation be to keep complete ownership of all content produced from this proposal?

Initially, yes, since we see all the intellectual property assets that we will use protected in the hands of their owners. If new assets were created, we understand that it is part of the property of the Mutants Beer brand, although we are open to hearing your proposals.

18. As per the ApeCoin General Guidelines, “proposals will not be put up for vote if they involve illegal activity, hate speech, pornographic material, or are at odds with the mission or values of the APE Foundation.” Can you ensure that the content on the MutantsBeer branding and related content would be in keeping with these guidelines?

Absolutely. We are committed to ensuring that all content conforms to the values that the APE Foundation makes public in its terms on apecoin.com. Please, if there is other reference documentation regarding the mission and values that we need to be aware of, let us know. We will not use illegal, hateful or inappropriate content in our brand or derivatives.

19. Do you provide consent to apply updates to the relevant areas of your proposal based on your responses to the questions above?

Yes, thank you.

20. Do you provide consent to share these questions and answers with the community in this forum?

Absolutely.

A DAR package is being worked on and upon completion this AIP will move into Administrative Review. Follow this Topic as further updates will be posted here in the comments.

Kind Regards,

-@Facilitators
