The Results are in for AIP-596. With 46.6m APE (99.66%) in Favor, this will be the last AIP ever to be up for vote and my last post discussing the voting results.
Let’s do the breakdown, shall we? There is quite a lot to discuss as a lot happened, and lot changed at the last minute.

Some notable things that happen this voting cycle:
-
This was the first (and last) AIP to be a Constitutional AIP, as per AIP-582. Thus it requires at least 3.5% of all Votable Tokens have cast votes either “in favor” or “abstain”, while there was some confusion and discussion about what the quorum would be, as there is only 1 billion ApeCoin, 3.5% of that is 35 million Ape. Thus this AIP has far exceeded what the quorum would be.
-
This vote achieved the following:
-
- The most amount of APE ever used to vote - 46,747,191.26 APE
-
- The most amount of wallets ever voted in an AIP - 3,175 wallets.
-
- The most amount of APE ever casted in favor for an AIP - 46,590,513.49
-
We had 308 Delegates representing 1,602 delegators. However, only 66 of these delegates actually had voted in the AIP. Of the 66 delegates that did vote, they represented 876 delegators.
-
While we had 3,175 wallet vote, it is quite evident that many of these were bots (however all wallets had voted on at least 1 AIP previously). As 2,468 wallets had 10 APE or less, 1768 wallets with 6 APE or less, and 373 wallets with 5 Ape or less.

This AIP was the first AIP to incorporate the new ApeChain Staking contract for voting. However, there was an issue with Snapshot it how it was calculating Voting Power for delegates should a delegator wanted to vote in addition to the delegator casting their vote. This in turn caused some serious calculations and processing power on Snapshot. As a result, delegate voting strategies were changed from the delegation strategy to with-delegation strategy. This change prevents the delegator from taking back their voting power from the delegate, which is in direct opposition to how the delegation was supposed to behave, as per the ApeCoin Delegation FAQs.

Mocaverse had gone from 6.4 million APE during the last AIP, to 3.3 million Ape for this AIP.

While previously saying that the Made by Apes delegation would be paused, Made by Apes had reached quorum and voted in favor.
As this is the last AIP and we are now shutting down the DAO this will be my last post on Voting Results. I want to thank everyone who has joined me on this journey of providing these updates.
