Building the Future with Ape Houses: Empowering Communities Through Sustainability

The Ape Houses project stands as a groundbreaking initiative that combines community development, sustainability, and philanthropy. With the support of the Thank Ape BBAC grant, we have been able to build our first ever Ape House. This blog outlines our vision, plan, and the impact we seek to achieve.

Our Vision

At its core, the Ape Houses initiative is about creating opportunities and driving change. By building sustainable bakeries and a multipurpose educational center, we aim to:

  • Empower mothers of neurodivergent children by providing them with employment opportunities. By empowering them, we are helping to prevent the discarding of special needs children as we give these mothers hope and the ability to care for their families.
  • Promote education and skills development for neurodivergent families and onboard local African talents onto Apechain through our Ape School.
  • Establish an enduring social impact program that connects Ape and Mocaverse communities through volunteerism, bringing members of our community to Africa annually called Apes Come Home.

Impact Goals

  1. Employment Creation: By empowering mothers through bakery jobs, we’re fostering economic independence and improving the quality of life for families of neurodivergent children.
  2. Educational Opportunities: The Ape School will serve as a hub for learning, offering skills training, literacy programs, community workshops, and onboarding onto Apechain through hackathons, meet-ups and more.
  3. Sustainability & Growth: Leveraging renewable energy and sustainable practices, Ape Houses will stand as a model for long-term development.
  4. Global Connection: The Apes Come Home program will bring Apes, Moca’s, and web3 at large from around the world to contribute, learn, and share in this transformative journey.
