This vote is to decide whether or not to proceed with the results of the proposal titled “ApeChain: Selection of proponent to build ApeChain”, which aims to select a proponent to build ApeChain, a dedicated ApeCoin blockchain that scales $APE and supports the growth of the ApeCoin ecosystem.
BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM

Also, I wanna put forward my own opinions on why we dont need Apechain at this moment. This is not against anyone or any group.
#1 $ape currently dont have a vast variety of users/holders compared to fully functional chains.
#2 We as a DAO ourselves rarely use $ape as a means of exchange, only during special events like giving special offers/discount if paying via $ape, accessible content like voting or proposing which is token gated etc.
#3 There are 10k Bored Apes, 10 Mutants and so on… maybe like 150k holders for Apecoin, out which only a small; very small amount of people vote, even less participate in active governance, way less actively speak and raise issues. In all of this, even less number of people offer services against $ape.
There are many such reasons but hopefully these 3 will help people understand why Apechain is a waste of time and energy. Some just wanna use the DAO as a means of exit liquidity, some just wanna leverage the influence and power Apecoin holds in the NFT culture and some just wanna use it to become relevant again in the vast blockchain market.
The AIP implementation is administered by the Ape Foundation. Implementation may be immaterially or materially altered to optimize for security, usability, to protect APE holders, and otherwise to effect the intent of the AIP. Any material deviations from an AIP, as initially approved, will be disclosed to the APE holder community.
As of 2024-02-07T00:00:00Z, this proposal has successfully completed all self-imposed milestones, and the APE Foundation has fulfilled all outstanding expectations.
