Abstract Summary: We will launch an APE-themed hotel in a prime location in central Bangkok, Thailand. Our goal is to enhance the BAYC IP Exposure, visibility and utility of ApeCoin, and generate actual revenue for ApeCoin DAO.
This proposal combines IP application, the hotel industry, the arts, and the cryptocurrency field. The hotel will offer a variety of activities, including ApeCoin-themed exhibitions, an APE bar, various APE community-themed rooms, an APE swimming pool, and an MBA-themed exhibition area, fully promoting ApeCoin, ApeChain, and various APE communities. We will provide various benefits to the APE community.
Overall Cost: 410,000 $APE

Timeline Updates:
4/4/2025: The author has provided a monthly update to their proposal, which can be found here.
Interview Q&A: The Facilitators conducted a follow-up interview on Jan 7, 2025, and await a response from the author.
Update: We are currently in contact and negotiation with 12 hotels in Bangkok, and will select the partner with the best basic conditions and potential future revenue from them.
The author of this AIP has not yet provided their required monthly progress report to the community regarding the ongoing status of their proposal’s implementation.
The author’s last report was on September 26, 2024. We urge @DeSmart to respond in this comment thread with any updates.
In the actual implementation process, we encountered some unexpected situations, including renegotiating better hotel, team members encountering incidents that endangered personal safety, and so on, resulting in a delay in the entire cycle.
But it is gratifying that we have still achieved the expected results. The themed rooms and surrounding products have been basically completed, and the public areas and swimming pools are still under renovation.
It is expected that the overall decoration and layout can be completed within 1-2 months.
We will promptly notify the community and welcome everyone to experience and check in.
Will you further develop the rooms, i.e. more than a blanket and some small items with the Ape logo on them? You also mentioned that there will be 5 different types of rooms, one of them with a different theme.
Thank you for this update. As @Frostyz noted, your proposal promised the development of five themed rooms. Please provide current photos of these rooms.
Further, the mock-ups you included in your AIP promise substantially more branded furnishings than what appear to be included in these photos. What more will be added to the rooms to align with your stated objectives?
Apecoin screen display(will be provided)
Since the screen is not turned on, if necessary, you can directly place the APE logo on the screen according to the content in the picture.
Hanging painting (already completed and displayed in the picture)
Bed sheets (already completed and shown in the picture)
Pillow (already completed and shown in the picture)
The refrigerator sticker (already completed and shown in the picture) is actually placed in the box in the hand washing room, and we will stick it on the refrigerator
We actually have additional projects, including those shown in the picture
APE slippers
APE box
We also added APE towels
Five themed rooms have been confirmed, but the recent earthquake in Thailand has affected the implementation. Construction will resume once it stabilizes, and we will provide pictures of each of the five rooms later.
(questions written by AI after using prompt ’ ask AIP recipient the status of their AIP)
Hey @DeSmart - following up as a community member keeping track of AIP-funded projects. A few honest questions after reviewing your latest updates:
This AIP was approved for 410,000 $APE (roughly $200K+ USD at the time). The core deliverable was a physical ApeCoin-themed hotel in central Bangkok. What happened?
The recent updates focus on Ape-themed slippers, candles, and photoshoots — was there a scope change? Is this the hotel? Has the budget been redirected?
You cited earthquake damage — but the quake hit Chiang Rai, over 800 km from Bangkok. Can you clarify?
The Jan 7, 2025 interview by facilitators was never answered. Why?
Is there any signed lease, land deed, or construction permit to prove a hotel is being built?
We need to be honest here: this was one of the flashiest proposals ever funded — and if it’s just turning into branded gift shop items, the community deserves to understand how that happened.
