Nomination Statement

I see an amazing opportunity to make a lasting impact bringing our community’s ideas to life, while also serving as a representative for women within the community.

Motivation

Decentralization will usher in a new renaissance. I believe the ApeCoin DAO will play a prominent role in shaping the future of web3. I want to ensure that women get a voice in that future. On a personal level, my relationships with my fellow apes and support for our ideas is what motivates me.

Rationale

Domain expert in business operations, tech product management, and digital media:

  • 10+ years of bringing commercial tech products to life
  • Community (stakeholder) management, collaboration, and brand partnership expertise
  • Brand building, media buying, marketing, and advertising
  • Master of chaos: helping orgs scale by advising and implementing business processes that increase efficiency and transparency for community members/stakeholders
  • Evaluating proposals to ensure maximum impact, technical feasibility, and reflection of community (stakeholder) values
  • Recruiting and qualifying vendors and tools that solve technical and operational challenges

Specifications

Existing council members have stated a need for domain expertise within the DAO, and my background and skills related to business operations, product management, tech, and media will play a critical role in supporting our community as the need for scalable processes expands.

Additionally, as the ApeCoin DAO scales, it is likely to evolve and include additional subcommittees (like ApeComms, for example). With this evolution, there will be a need for internal and external coordination across subcommittees to ensure proposals are put in place that promote focused conversations, efficiency, transparency/communication, and reflect our community values and contributions.

Experience as a product manager within tech and media, as well as expertise in business operations, uniquely positions me to support aApeCoin DAO and our community as they grow.

Concluding Statement

In ApeCoin DAO, I see an amazing opportunity to shape our future while also representing women within our community. I know that when we combine our ideas, dreams and talents, we will do something awe-inspiring. I want to be a part of that. My passion for our community and proven success scaling orgs will help bring our ideas to life, and make dreams a reality.

Hi @jmart, I am asking all candidates these same questions:

  1. If elected, what is the one item you feel passionate about and would like to see accomplished during your tenure within the DAO? (Let’s pretend you only had the time and energy to make a personal push for one item - what would it be?)

  2. Are there any factors in your life that may limit your ability to serve? (conflicts of interest, time allocation, limited wifi bc you work from Starbucks… etc)

  3. What is your least favorite thing right now with our DAO in it’s current state?

  4. What is a Koda?

Thank you,
F/S

1 - Comms. We know communication and transparency has been a challenge. I’d fix what’s broken and work directly with token holders, Ape Comms, and council to help define a communication strategy and set up the infrastructure and frameworks necessary to operationalize a scalable comms process.

The goal is to help define a mission/strategy for the DAO, and then implement the processes and tools required to promote transparency, reliability, and proactive communication between council and token holders–and also across the DAO itself (subcommittees, etc.)

Effective communication is critical, it builds loyalty, trust, and incentivizes contribution and involvement among token holders. It’s also critical for risk management. I feel strongly that implementing an effective comms strategy is foundational for the long term health and reputation of the DAO and will immediately benefit the entire community.

2 - No. Like many nominees I work and have a kid, but that’s nothing out of the ordinary.

3 - very opaque. It’s difficult to keep up with information and news, and the lack of proactive communication has been discouraging.

4 - Koda? Never heard of it.

Kidding ofc. I imagine it’s a rare, cute but deadly, celestial creature that’s going to take us on over to the Otherside

Really excited Jamie is running for the Special Council. I’ve known her for quite some time now and met her in person. She’s talented, smart af, driven, and gets things done. She’s successful in the business world and nft world which is what I look for in a candidate. The DAO needs leaders like Jamie to be successful long term. We need people who are able to bridge the gap from web2 to web3 and realize the potential web3 has. BAYC is leading the charge, and talented leaders like Jamie can take us even farther.

I know Jamie (Jmart) IRL and have worked with her professionally. She’s an incredibly talented Product Director, who would crush it on Special Council:

  • Proven ability to take seeds of ideas from 0-1 (but like for real, she co-wrote an advertising technology patent).
  • Knows how to figure out and implement processes for scale - People love working with her, she’s super connected with the community, and great at leading dev teams.
  • Domain expertise in media monetization, business operations, advertising, marketing, and product management
  • She’s “not a dude” and will make sure that all members of the community are heard

Vote. Do it.
