Nomination Statement
Concise statement on why you are running for Steward of the Governance Working Group
I’m running for Steward because I think I can contribute to the DAO in a positive way. I’m finishing a two-year term as Vice President of my kids’ school PTA Board next month and have been looking for another way to participate in governance. I learned so much during my term and realized I was really good at it, so when I heard about the elections, I got really curious and excited to get involved.
Motivation
Details on your motivation for becoming a Governance Working Group Steward
My main motivation is to participate in a meaningful way by bringing my diverse skillset to the projects and organizations that I believe in. Being a WG Steward for the $APE DAO is an amazing opportunity to help shape an organization that I believe is and will be very important within web3. Learning new ways of governance through the WGs and Special Council, and helping the DAO evolve into something people use more broadly is also exciting and something that really interests me.
Rationale
Share relevant experience and skills that will bring value to the ApeCoin DAO
Throughout my professional career, I’ve lead teams to execute a common goal, coordinated production shoots, scouted and cleared locations, and delivered finished episodes on time. During my term on the Board of a PTA, I oversaw the planning and execution of events, approved funds for event organizers to use, coordinated communication with the membership, and set up systems to help the organization to run smoothly. I have excellent communication skills, can analyze proposals and budgets with ease, and really enjoy this kind of work. I have found a good balance between my creative and analytical sides and get the most satisfaction from working on projects where I can do both.

I’ve been in the crypto/NFT space since the Fall of 2021. I’m a member of the Azurbala Community Council, and although I’m technically a member of other DAOs, $APE DAO and the BAYC/MAYC community have motivated me to be more active in a way that other DAOs haven’t.

Summarize your statement as to why you are the best choice for Governance Working Group Steward
I think I’d be a solid choice because I have experience working within a similar organization IRL, take ownership and accountability for all of my work, am easy to work with, and learn things quickly.
