I’m running for the Special Council to be a representative for the ApeCoin community members.
Motivation
My main motivation comes from curiosity and the willingness to be the voice of the ApeCoin community members. I’m a digital marketer and business man at my core and I believe I can bring great value to ApeCoin DAO through my knowledge and network.
Rationale
I entered the crypto space in 2019 with Ethereum. In the Algorand community, I’m most know for spearheading the investments groups in the Goanna discord server. I helped coordinate Goanna owners to collectively taken part in two seed round investment for Algorand projects. Both Wayru and Zestcap DAOs are LLCs to ensure the investments are fully compliant. I also enjoy being a helpful Admin, Goanna Council Member and contributing to the Goanna DAO newsletter.
Specifications
Crypto governance participation includes: ENS and Al Goanna. ApeCoin has been more recent after I discovered the discourse community. Most of my web3 experience is with the Goanna DAO, creating 8 investment groups within the DAO and two LLCs.
Concluding Statement
The combination of my digital marketing, business, and web3 community experiences will help be serve the ApeCoin community as best as I can.
Just wanted to add a little more background on my entrance into blockchain and crypto:
When I entered the ETH space, it was first through buying coin on Robinhood in 2019. Then I dove head first into Twitter and started to read a lot from sassal.eth and his daily gwei on Ethereum. Reading content from him opened my mind to blockchain and the impact it has on society. From here, I learned about ENS and got my name kourosh.eth which allowed me to get the airdrop. I have to thank @investindigital for that alpha. I started to join discord communities at this point, ENS, being my first and chatting with folks there. From that point on, I was hooked and I started to explore other chains besides Ethereum. Specifically, I use SOL, MATIC, ALGO, and ETH chains today. Using these chains has been exploratory and fun. There is a purpose for all these chains in the future.
Hi @roosh, I am asking all candidates these same questions:
If elected, what is the one item you feel passionate about and would like to see accomplished during your tenure within the DAO? (Let’s pretend you only had the time and energy to make a personal push for one item - what would it be?)
Are there any factors in your life that may limit your ability to serve? (conflicts of interest, time allocation, limited wifi bc you work from Starbucks… etc)
What is your least favorite thing right now with our DAO in it’s current state?
Hi @foxSlightly, answers to your questions are below:
A1. The one item I would like to focus on is educational material around ApeCoin and how it will be used in the digital economy for the masses. We need to grow the use case of ApeCoin and it starts with education on what the coin will do. Crypto natives will understand but we need to bridge the gap further with non crypto folks. We need to create a “Facebook Effect” around understanding ApeCoin.
A2. I don’t see any limiting factors as of now to serve.
A3. The DAO seems very organized on Discourse but is there a ApeCoin Discord where community members can come together and chat more in real time and have fun? Discourse can be rigid and very formal. If there isn’t a Discord account yet for ApeCoin, we should create one and have some fun.
A4. Kodas are visitors from afar. They are the primal beings that are ushering us into the Otherside. We don’t know exactly what they are and what their affinity is to the land but we will find out soon enough. As more information comes out in Q4 from Yuga, I hope we will learn more about these magical Kodas. We will find out soon enough.
