This is a great proposal.
Would you be open to expanding the proposal to include $APE which has been staked to BAYC/MAYC NFTs currently held in escrow by NFTfi.com?
I believe there is around 80-100,000 $APE which is currently committed to NFTs being used as collateral on NFTfi loans. Unfortunately, this $APE cannot be used for voting at present. I believe that a similar solution could be crafted to allow this voting power to be counted, as you’ve suggested for the staking protocols.

As a user of NFTfi.com in this situation myself, I completely get you! Although they didn’t co-author this proposal, the guidelines allows other protocols such as NFTfi.com to be able to request Ape Foundation help as well. This is in part why we proposed guidelines instead of specifically only aiding the co-authors so that any other protocol could also request help for implementation in the future. Separately, I’ll be happy to personally connect with the the NFTfi.com team to make this happen for their community too.

That it will establish a process of ApeCoin staking protocols to seek assistance from Ape Foundation to have their users’ staked ApeCoin voting power for ApeCoin DAO governance voting.
- If approved, the Ape Foundation is expected to engage in the implementation of this AIP. Please specify the steps, the Ape Foundation operators who would be responsible for facilitation, and elaborate how it is expected to work.

Together with an ApeCoin staking protocol operator (“operator”), Ape Foundation will create a snapshot voting strategy to enable the implementation. The operator will provide the documentation required for the snapshot voting strategy; the expectation is that Ape Foundation will test and implement it the same way it did for calculating voting power for ApeCoin staked in apestake.io

This AIP Idea was tagged as “Needs Administrative Review” and sent to the Special Council. Upon careful review, the proposal has been deemed “Return for Reconstruction”. In doing so, the Special Council cited:
The community would benefit from seeing proposals to count voting power for individual groups, protocols and collectives separately.
