Having the community work on things like comics and screenplays are great ways to bring everyone together and a great addition to web3.0 culture!
How decentralized do you want it to be? Wouldn’t higher stakeholders of ApeCoin have more voter power than someone with significantly less coins? If that is the case, only a small percentage of apecoin holders would have MOST of the say in decision making. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with that, if that is your plan.

It’s basically a proposal for a decentralized social media platform that lets everyone contribute to a publicly shared-upon idea or piece of content… such as a storyline for a comic! Everyone has the opportunity to post an event that they would like to add to the storyline which is then displayed in the contribution pool (basically a social media feed) where people can vote on it and other events by different creators. Since it’s decentralized social media, here are only some of the benefits
- Creators can get rewarded for their contributions
- Everyone has the opportunity to buy or sell PROMO tokens for promoting your posts
- All creators can sell SPONSO tokens that allow sponsors to post ads. The ad revenue would go straight to the creators since it’s decentralized
If you wanted to start your idea sooner, you could go forward with the snapshot idea but there a few things to consider. We would have to create a whole new DAO specifically for the screenplay writing or else it would flood the current ApeCoin snapshot. You’re also depending on web 2.0 channels of communication such as discord or any forum. You would also need somewhere to piece together this comic/screenplay. Those are a lot of different applications one would have to flip through for this whole process. It might be best to develop one application that does everything from discussion, to voting, to implementing(which is what my goal is for OverWrite). Most importantly, to not depend on Web2.0 and try to make that leap of faith towards web3.0.
Please let me know your thoughts if you would like to merge this idea with OverWrite or if you’re going to move forward with just using snapshot. Either way, lets get in touch because I really want to see community content creation!
