I like the concept, and it should start a flywheel to increase APE use cases for a broader range of consumers. Nice work @Grains0x!

Thanks @PhishFood. I believe the same and we have a lot of experience in running community reward platforms. This isn’t a new product it’s build on top of my company FanCircles.com which is already running apps.

Thanks @PapiC, So firstly we, and I mean my company FanCircles.com already run gated community platforms for clients. We work with music artists and have great connections there, we work with TV celebrities and also work with companies to provide them with private apps for staff to use to benefit from offers and for management to communicate with staff.
Secondly, before FanCircles I was the founder and CEO of what is the biggest European affiliate network (Awin.com) and have access to 700+ retailers who will give either discounts or cashback offers. So for example Awin have the exclusive worldwide affiliate relationship with Nike. This means there’s a discount of xx% for members of the ApeCoin app. The discounts or cashback that is available can range from retailer to retailer depending on their line of business but clothing brands give in the region of 10% as a guideline.
The relationships are already in place and the benefit for all of them is, they reach beyond the audience they can reach through their own advertising, and it’s a closed group, which means they are happy to give these offers.
Hope that helps explain that even though this sounds like an impossible task, in the web2 world and with my and our connections it’s not so difficult. It does of course need managing and we will intend to source extra special offers specifically for the ApeCoin app. This is what we do well.

So the app pays $APE for interaction also what are the contents we’re expecting in the app

Firstly there’s offers from retailers which will be sources and open to holder for various periods of time according to the retailer. This may be either exclusive discount coupons which are unique to the ApeCoin App and it’s users and the second is cashback offers that will pay in either Fiat or Ape. For ApeCoin rebates this will be claimable so will cost gas, but as ApeCoin migrates its own chain this will be reviewed.
There’s also the ability drop POAps when a user enters a geofenced area. We will again source partners for this. This could be for example on entry to NFTNY or Apefest or a secret location. Claims for POAps are only valid if the user holds ApeCoin.

There’s a lot of other features in the app that can be switched on or off depending on the success of the App such as the ability to streaming audio, which, for example could be via a partnership with a record label who want to promote a song/album to holders of ApeCoin or BAYC holders, or simply a podcast. Audio streams the same way as we all listen to Spotify/Apple Music - when the app is closed and while you’re on the move.

As with audio, video can also be streamed.

There’s also a holder “wall” where discussion can take place.

The feature list is rich and will be rolled out on demand, but is already developed and tested with over 3 million users (You can see clients on the FanCircles site)

Hope this helps explain the possibilities with this project.

Also, remember this is a mobile and web app. Validation of wallets is all done on via the web app for security and only requires you to sign to connect. After this a username and password is used to login to the app, which of course attaches your wallet address to your login.

After talking to a few people I wanted to make some of the benefits that can be switched on or off on demand. All of these features can be gated so users only have to validate ownership - once!

  • Gated discounts and cashback is just one of the benefits.

  • Gated, audio casts, video

  • Partnerships benefits for Made By Apes licensees that benefit the whole ecosystem of both APE and BAYC/MAYC holders as well as building a centralised place that Made By Apes licensees can freely show their products to their most loyal potential buyers.

  • Early access to concert tickets for holders of APE and/or BAYC/MAYC holders in the US and Europe/UK

  • Discounts at NFT and industry events via partnerships

  • Has the ability to act as validation of being a holder at IRL events.

The platform is not a new platform, it is proven and tested with over 2 million users across 70+ apps. As a company, we also have core experiences in all of these areas.

This proposal is live for vote at Snapshot. The voting period closes 13 days from now at 9PM EST.

The AIP implementation is administered by the Ape Foundation. Implementation may be immaterially or materially altered to optimize for security, usability, to protect APE holders, and otherwise to effect the intent of the AIP. Any material deviations from an AIP, as initially approved, will be disclosed to the APE holder community.

I discussed this AIP with a few people. A feedback I got was they wanted more clarity on the difference between the platform operation and the account management costs.

Also if this is a rewards app, how much of the funds is for rewards?

Hi @bigbull. Thanks for the questions and happy to clarify. The platform fee is the license for the software, which includes a fully branded ApeCoin Rewards app for iOS and Android, as well as a web app. The platform, as a whole, is constantly updated and maintained to work with the constant flow of updates for iOS and Android. All technical support for users is also provided by our support team as needed. Mobile apps are key to why our platforms work so well.

The web app will have its own subdomain from the options of apecoin.rewards.direct, fan.direct, or community.direct. If anyone has a different subdomain idea, please propose this. As an example, platforms like TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, and almost all rewards apps have their specific subdomains.

The account management cost of £96,000 covers assigning members of our team to account management and client liaison roles to maximize the opportunities available to ApeCoin Rewards. We will do, as we do with other clients, which is to connect with existing and new partners to explain the benefits of offering discounts to ApeCoin and BAYC holders in a closed environment.

The key areas I will focus on for ApeCoin Rewards are:

Music festivals and concerts - We have extensive connections worldwide. 2-for-1 offers are often available but, of course, cannot be advertised outside of a closed group.
Retailers via our connections with 700+ retailers worldwide from my last company, Awin. This would include discounts at retailers like Nike, through to mobile phone operator contracts, and much more.
Made By Apes license holders, to give exposure to their audience directly.
It’s important to note, except for Made By Apes licensees, these opportunities are already open to us but require artist management, promoters, and retailers to understand that this is a closed group. We educate them on why they should offer the best possible deals to reach incremental buyers. We will also connect with Made By Apes licensees to work with them in growing their sales and helping them reach BAYC and ApeCoin holders.

I hope this answers the question and gives a full picture of the plans we have and the work involved.

Grains/Kevin

As a holder and a fan I 100% know it can!
Just want to point out to everyone this not only a native app used by 3 million users over 70 clients of ours, its a web app too.

More importantly than that is it’s a ApeCoin Rewards app NOT a FanCircles branded app. It will be downloadable in app stores and via web under the ApeCoin branding.

Sorry. I missed this comment. Sorry man.
So there’s a couple of aspects.

  1. Concert and festival ticket offers. For example 2 for 1 tickets that we source through our/my extensive industry contacts. Offers on tickets have to be gated because offering them to the public at essentially half price causes all kinds of issues for promoters. This is the reason apps like Groupon are needed.
  2. Discounts. Having started and grown Europe’s largest affiliate network, I have access to the highest teir of discounts from over 700 retailers throughout the US and Europe.

The web app will allow you to claim either via Paypal to fiat or via Apecoin. However I personally think the Apecoin payment will work better when Ape Chain is implemented.

It is a good clarification. I heard people saying, isn’t this like Thankape. Clearly your rewards model is very different. I think this might not be fully understood.

It’s not something you have to work at to earn points or rewards.
It’s a platform that gives access and benefits. We source the offers and it’s entirely up to the user if they want to take them. Zero work needs to be done by the user, but the benefits are huge.
The reason this works is because it’s a gated community and offers such as 2 for 1 on concert tickets or discounts at retailer have to be done without this being public.
ApeCoin and BAYC holders are perfect for this as the sellers (concert promoters through to retailers) want incremental sales, meaning they don’t want to give discounts if they end up being public. This devalues the item. Member groups are what they want. This is what we do for other clients.

Hope that clarifies the difference between the Apecoin app and ThankApe. They are different beasts and don’t overlap.

Vulkan. Would you like to jump on a call so I can explain why this works so well for an ApeCoin type community. I’d like to try and convince you the vote in favour. Will you give me that chance?
