Hi @Grains0x ,

The community feedback period for your proposal would be ending in less than 24 hours.

  • If you’re content with the feedback received, your next steps are to finalize your proposal using the AIP Draft Template.

  • A moderator will reach out to the author to finalize the AIP Draft. Upon receipt of the final Draft, we will review and provide instructions on the next steps.

  • Are you ready to proceed to the next phase or do you wish to extend community discussion for another 7 days?

We look forward to hearing from you.

It is clear that Grains knows a thing or two about affiliate marketing. This well thought out aip and his above responses are proof of that.

As an mba/mayc holder I would test the service out.

It appears like a typical affiliate marketing network but with the free access utility as a merchant that holds one of the nfts listed.

Bringing affiliates into the ecosystem could serve as a boost for obvious reasons.

I’m not seeing the apecoin connection part though. Maybe I missed it? Will you be taking the fiat and buying apecoin to then pay that out as bonuses?

Also is the dao profit share in perpetuity?

Looking forward to a bit more clarity on the apecoin side of things.

Thanks for the comment @Apewhale , and appreciate the kind words.
I don’t want to force on chain actions when they are detrimental to the platform. Affiliates want paying in fiat and the vast majority of web3 brands, for example MBA brands, generate their revenue through credit card fiat transactions. An example of an affiliate that works in web3 but gets paid in fiat is Coingecko’s Candy points page. Currently they promise web2 brands via affiliate links. Now imagine this with Ape related brands. This is how to reach the masses with everything from Ape Water to @Koko ’s ApeExpress.

I strongly believe that not all AIPs have to create on chain action, and this one is one of them. This benefits a lot of on chain brands in the ecosystem, so will drive more transactions due to the increased traffic, sales, reach and exposure this will bring to ApeCoin.

Primarily is allows other AIPs to drive more transactions on chain.

Having said that, there’s a bonus structure for affiliates that will drive transactions on $APE and also the ability to connect with both MocaID and ApeID (when available) which will allow onboarding new users to the ApeCoin ecosystem.

Hope this answers your questions, but please feel free to come back if I’ve missed anything.

Thanks for that response. Sounds like what I was thinking.

Also is the dao profit share in perpetuity?

Hi @Apewhale
The funding back to the DAO ends when the grant is paid back in full. However the benefits for BAYC and Moca NFT holders continues in perpetuity. This is at heavy cost, but provides tangible benefits to holders where non-holders will pay ~$2000 a month for the same service, which is inline with other affiliate networks.
I hope you see the logic in this.

I have spent my last 16 years in the affiliate industry both on merchant and publisher sides. This is a great step to onboarding businesses into our atmosphere. Providing great products/services to Web2, with a great incentive to learn more by being financially motivated. This is an onboarding tool as well as service.

I believe this is the way Web2 joins us. We provide tools, services the want that are better built, better priced and/or groundbreaking.

I fully support this and am excited to see this come to fruition. If you believe in sustainable business models and the growth of ApeCoin via brand marketing and product development, then this seems like a no brainer. IMHO.

I have managed programs on most major platforms as an OPM at times. AWIN/Affiliate Window have always been players in the space and well known!
I attend Affiliate Summit since 2009 so I’ve definitely seen your business a lot!
Excited to have my 9-5 world mesh into my Web3 world. The real goal.

That’s great. Well I started Affiliate Window and ran it until 2012.
Would it be fair to say you’d be an affiliate for web3 affiliate programs?
