Abstract Summary: This proposal seeks to update the ApeCoin.com website to include a “Treasury” tab.

The purpose of this proposal is to address a lack of transparency around the size of the ApeCoin DAO treasury and the rate at which treasury funds are being spent.

This proposal requires that the “Treasury” tab include a live counter that tracks the size of the DAO treasury, the amount of the DAO treasury that has been spent, the rate of current spend of DAO funds, and the estimated time when the treasury would be depleted at the current spend rate.

Who do I need to lobby to get the treasury tab updated with more up to date & reflective data of our true position?

MISSING:

Data on unlocked ape. ($ape we don’t yet own.)
Data on liabilities. ($ape we’ve already spent.)

(Combined totals I’d estimate at approximately 200m $ape.)

QUICK FIX:

Add a DISCLAIMER prominently near TOTAL TREASURY BALANCE.

The thing is, as we all know, people don’t read, especially transparency reports that are at best pushed out every 6 months.

Let’s do better by keeping the community informed by more data on the treasury tab even if it’s just via disclaimers for now.

If I need to write an AIP to get the treasury tab to reflect the real state of our funds please lmk.
