I love the idea. But ‘Apekin’ doesn’t hit quite right.
How about ‘Simi’ or ‘Simian’ etc - Latin for Ape.
Also apecoin is a skull, so should the mascot be some sort of skeleton?

The skull is the BAYC logo. I had feedback in the beginning suggesting that I shouldn’t do a skeleton as the mascot.
Together we will explore all the possibilities and discuss this issue further once my AIP gets approved 
It’s definitely interesting to hear the different perspectices. We should do a twitterspace about this and discuss it.

The final name and design is what I want to find together with the community.

The AIP implementation is administered by the Ape Foundation. Implementation may be immaterially or materially altered to optimize for security, usability, to protect APE holders, and otherwise to effect the intent of the AIP. Any material deviations from an AIP, as initially approved, will be disclosed to the APE holder community.
