Hey Vulk! The goal is to develop, and finalize, a system during the pilot period that could include community involvement and hopefully, a little fun. But to get the ball rolling Iām going to keep it simple, remain open for requests by authors, and keep my eyes on proposals popping up in the ideas channel that the program could have a positive impact on.
Absolutely! As mentioned in the timeline below, this will be finalized once the program is approved, but scoring will involve criteria such as the overall quality of idea, benefit to ApeCoin, team history and track record, projected cost effectiveness, how compelling the proposal is written, grammar, graphics and images, as well as verbal articulation if the author plans on doing Twitter Spaces so we can make sure they are able to properly outline their vision.
Yes! This will be one of the primary sources of data that will determine the programās future.
Thanks AA! And yes, although written fairly open-ended, the goal will be to take the time needed to develop a properly functioning system that will be brought back to the GWG for official consideration.
@AllCityBAYC has responded to our questions and has provided consent to share them in this forum for the community.
1. Is the Ape Foundation expected to engage in any of the steps of the AIP implementation? If so, please specify the steps and elaborate on how it is expected to work.
No.
2. Would co-authors of approved proposals qualify for a mentor role?
Yes, some co-authors of approved proposals may qualify for a mentor role, contingent upon approval.
3. Would your expectation be to keep complete full ownership of any content that may be produced as a direct result of this proposal?
Yes, my expectation would be to maintain complete ownership of any content generated directly from this proposal, specifically restricted to administrative-related program materials; with the intention of providing these items to the ApeCoinDAO community once the pilot period has demonstrated success and additional development resources have been allocated. This ownership would not extend to any work or proposals created by mentees.
4. Would you require a licensing agreement for the use of the ApeCoin logo for the implementation of this proposal?
No. We would not require a licensing agreement for the ApeCoin logo until after the pilot period has demonstrated success and additional development resources have been allocated.
5. Do you provide consent to share these questions with the community in this forum?
Yes.
A DAR package is being worked on and upon completion this AIP will move into Administrative Review. Follow this Topic as further updates will be posted here in the comments.
This proposal is live for Snapshot vote at Snapshot. The voting period closes next Wednesday at 9PM EST.
The AIP implementation is administered by the Ape Foundation. Implementation may be immaterially or materially altered to optimize for security, usability, to protect APE holders, and otherwise to effect the intent of the AIP. Any material deviations from an AIP, as initially approved, will be disclosed to the APE holder community.
Good to see what can be achieved starting small. One thing is to help people to pass the AIP, another big area to tackle is to check on the progress and help with issues encountered once they are funded.
