ABSTRACT:

The purpose of this proposal is to outline the framework for a voluntary, no-cost three-month pilot program aimed at pairing successful AIP authors with first-time (AIP) applicants to foster increased participation and enhance the overall quality of proposals submitted for voting.

AllCityBAYC will oversee the initiative independently, separate from the Governance Working Group, with the intention of presenting a proof-of-concept to the ApeCoinDAO community for further development once completed.

  5. Community building: This program will develop a deeper sense of belonging, connection, and cooperation among ApeCoinDAO constituents and provide an inviting environment for newcomers who may be curious about writing AIPs.

  6. Establish ApeCoinDAO as a recognized incubator for innovation: Developing ApeCoinDAO as a visible hub known for assisting community members foster innovative ideas will encourage creativity within the community, increase brand recognition and contribute to an overall strengthened reputation.

SPECIFICATIONS:

The AIP Ambassador & Mentorship Program will be operated outside of the the Governance Working Group scope by AllCityBAYC utilizing a scoring system to analyze, grade and determine qualifying proposals — which will not exceed two approved mentees every four weeks. A similar (grading) system will be implemented to compare the overall effectiveness of proposal iterations between the idea stage, when mentorships will begin, and final draft when they will finish.

Additional mentors may be added at any time, no previously successful AIP authors will qualify as mentees, and no mentor holding an active administration or management role with ApeCoinDAO will campaign or co-author mentee proposals.

Following the conclusion of the initial three-month pilot period, the program can be sustained in its current form, or in modified iterations, voluntarily and without cost to the DAO for up to one year. Any funding requests beyond the pilot phase will be subject to a DAO-wide vote.

During his term as an ApeCoinDAO Governance Working Group Steward AllCityBAYC will not seek, approve, or receive any personal payments for his program-related services. AllCityBAYC retains the right to select proposals or delegate proposal selection to community members, ApeCoinDAO initiatives, or other approved AIP programs.

It’s a really game changer for those, who has some ideas but:

  • shy tell community about it
  • doesn’t know from where to start
  • doesn’t understand processes in APE DAO

So, it’ll be really great for all of us. Really hope this thing to go forward and to come to life.

To clarify this is like charity work for mentors? Or is it open to be either voluntary help or a collaboration with the initial idea author?

This is a truly brilliant idea. Will it be individual? Or some small groups? For 1 mentor I mean

Thanks fam!

The goal would be a mentorship versus collaboration… So general review, feedback and help with overall strategy.

It would be interesting to have a badge system for users, having a level for each AIP that was successful, and also level and classification for AIP that was just an idea and was not completed, it would be interesting, the same system that exists here on the forum for interactions we make.
This way, AIP creator users would have badges.

Thanks for putting this proposal forward, AllCity! I had a couple questions if you don’t mind.

  1. How would you plan to match the mentors with the mentees? Is there a system you would use?

  2. Do you have any details on what criteria this scoring system mentioned below would use? Or is that part still a work in progress?

  1. Do you plan on having the mentees give reviews on the mentors?

Thanks,

Vulkan

Thanks for putting up this proposal AC! Love the idea of an Ambassador & Mentorship Program! I think supporting AIP authors is so important.

Looking forward to your answers to @Vulkan. Also have a question, if successful, do you see this as something that could be an initiative under the Governance Working Group?
