I agree 100% with Apewhale.
So thankful to have found my way to the DAO. Boring Security was the thing that initially hooked me. Not only because of the Thank Ape reward but also because I wanted to dig deeper into web3 security.
What started as a “Oh I want to check out their class!” led to the idea of a web3 security webcomic featuring the ApeCoin mascot in collaboration with Boring Security.
First part of that will be published soon

What worries me is that there are people with multiple profiles here instead of just voting in snapchat that mind be using your mechanics; it mind come down to KYC, also this way you will protect yourself as USA company from possible sponsoring some human farm/individuals from countries not eligible to be a part of the ApeCoin DAO Foundation aka Not Allowed To be in this Forum. The other side is if you actually start tracking the wallets - it will upset many every day legitimate participants, when they found out that others cheat. & hoard. So I agree how crucial it is to make sure there is no farming. So do it as you have to in USA, because this is the location you registered under right? NATO coalition laws also apply.

Most of our classes are filled by partner community NFT holders, but when we do open signups publicly we do everything we can to prevent sybil, including reporting dozens of attempts to sybil our classes to the ThankApe team, getting them banned from rewards.
To be eligible for these rewards, you still must take the class, be counted as attended, defeat our sybil checks, pay gas to claim the 101 token, and not get your account banned in ThankApe. Definitely not impossible, but a lot of work to do for 5 $APE

What is the commission at gwei 25-30 for the badge 101? 10-12$ It seems to me 5 $APE can not compensate for the costs of sybil

So, costs of sybil will be too much to maintain them

This is the best security experience you can get. These statistics reflect the involvement of users and various communities. More intensive development is definitely required

The rewards are all a ThankApe thing, independent of Boring Security. In fact, the money used for that DOES NOT come out of the Boring Security treasury, and is 100% part of ThankApe’s budget, as they are seeking ways to amplify the existing onramps, and create new ones for the DAO.
We only do about $10k per annum of community rewards between our prophouse, thrivecoin, and other contest/raffle initiatives with our own budget. I guess you could say we are cheap in comparison, lol.
There is a fine balance of offering too much, and getting reward farmed, and offering too little that you can’t get people to care if they come across it in a rewards program like ThankApe.

As Apecoin foundation anyone with 1 Apecoin is a part and we can not lock discord. It’s also public and transparent by establishment for anyone who has Zero Apecoin - they just can’t fully participate.
