I am a Software Engineer who is passionate about web3 and thrives on creating pixel-perfect software applications. I have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in a frontend role, building and refining user interfaces and solving UI & UX problems.

My experience extends to full-stack development where I have worked on a fair share of web applications. I have experience in managing teams, worked in business and data analytics roles in the IT sector for over ten years professionally.

I am an active member of the ApeCoin DAO.

Motivation

APE is a token made to support what’s next and web3 gaming is getting ready to onboard the next wave of web2 users.

This AIP serves to facilitate the building and operation of the ApeCoin Arenas which will again, secure ApeCoin as the web3 gaming token of the future.

The first ApeCoin Arena will be created for the Wreck League game which recently launched. The WL ApeCoin Arena will host various Wreck League tournaments and events whereby different NFT communities can battle it out for honour and glory in their Wreck Mechs. NFTs and ApeCoin prizes will be given for tournaments and events.

The Second ApeCoin Powered Arena will be built in Otherside and can host various events including games, NFTeams sports leagues, music events, concerts, art displays, festivals, @ETHGlobal hackathons and so much more.

We have some excellent talent like @jackie and @day25 in the community who are already building in this direction, this proposal would align our efforts and collaborate to create an amazing attraction for web2 and web3 users alike.

The ApeCoin Arena should be owned and run by the ApeCoin DAO with a dedicated team of artists, designers, developers and project manager from the community.

Rationale

We need to continue to grow the ApeCoin ecosystem and build into the future.

The aim is to create something unique in the MetaVerse that is proudly Powered by ApeCoin.

Apes will be utilised in storytelling, promotions and marketing of the ApeCoin Sports Team.

We aim to create the Ape Sporting Champions of the web3 world. Apes will be modeled for playing in the Arenas and we can go as far as making team jerseys and IRL merchandise to match.

Apes will also serve as a funding tool in the project and will support future developments in the project and the web3 gaming and MetaVerse space.

Benefit to ApeCoin Ecosystem

We aim to create something truly special for ApeCoin in the MetaVerse that would increase uses cases for ApeCoin and will also showcase the ApeCoin DAO’s web3 vision and goals as we build into the future of web3 gaming and the MetaVerse.

Wreck League is the Megaverse’s preeminent mech sports combat organization, known for its spectacular battles, robust customization, and competitive culture.

From humble beginnings on a distant junk moon to the creation of its governing board, B.R.A.W.L, Wreck League has grown to become the pinnacle of mechanized sporting events.

NFTeams - nfteams.club

NFTeams is the first worldwide sports league on the Ethereum blockchain, with 10,000 unique sports franchises battling it out for major prizes. The league brings together lovers of sports, betting, NFTs and cryptocurrency to compete in a variety of tournaments each month. Owning an NFTeam gives you access to all tournaments, free NFT drops, whitelist opportunities and much more.

Our vision is to be the biggest and most inclusive sporting league in the world, with team owners already based all around the globe.

Specifications

:stadium: Wreck League Arena Owners will be able to run and customise their own @WreckLeagueHQ Arenas and host Tournaments and events.

We will host different ApeCoin tournaments including friendly battles with other communities or get more competitive and offer prizes in ApeCoin and NFTs and battle to the death or for pink slips, these modes will be offered by Wreck League.

A custom ApeCoin Arena will be created to host tournaments against other communities like the Mocas and Coolcats for example.

Steps to Implement

AIP includes purchasing a Wreck League Arena NFT to customise to our needs.

AIP includes purchasing prime deeds in Otherside for the ApeCoin Arena.

The ApeCoin Arenas will be operated by a dedicated team of artists, designers, developers and a project manager.

We will collaborate with different members of the community who are already building in this direction.

Timeline

The project will be an ongoing collaboration between various parties building in the ApeCoin DAO.

Once we are able to get our Wreck League Arena NFT, we will begin work on customising it to our needs. We can begin hosting different tournaments within 2 to 3 months.

Once the Wreck League Arena is up and running, focus will shift to building the Otherside ApeCoin Arena. A prime deed will be acquired in Otherside for the arena.

The funding and staking will allow the project to continue growing and support further developments as we build into the MetaVerse and whats still to come.

Overall Cost

$1 million USD or equivalent in ApeCoin which will be used to acquire 15 Ape NFTs to create the ApeCoin Sports team that will be used in storytelling, marketing and promotions. The Otherside deeds and Wreck League Arena NFTs will also be bought with this part of the budget.

151 410 ApeCoin will be required to max stake against the 15 BAYC Ape NFTs.

1, 000, 000.00 ApeCoin will be staked alone in the Horizen Labs Staking Contract

Combined this will give us an approximate monthly budget to fund the project and the team

really cool idea and 10,000 stadiums for NFTeam owners were on the menu for a few years down the track.

But having a BAYC stadium on the center island would be amazing. All finals would be held there (like our Wembley).

Great idea.

I think you’d be surprised what you can build for a lot less. There are already stadiums you can get for under $100 that are replicas of real-world stadiums, it would just be a case of then hiring a few people to change it to exactly what we would want.

The idea is to create a copy of Wreck League?
Many games that are created today in Web3 are copies of Web2 hit games of yesteryear. What if you make a copy of Flat Out, if someone played it, there is an arena where it was necessary to destroy others on different machines.
But overall, I like this idea. :+1:

Thanks for your feedback.

My thinking wasn’t to copy pasta the game as such but it would be super cool if we could create different mini games, hold music events, even host virtual hackathons with EthGlobal at our ApeCoin Virtual Venue.

I would love to hear more ideas and thoughts from the community. @day25 mentioned hosting an NFTeams final like Wembly, brilliant. :clap:

The ApeCoin Stadium could be a great starting point for everyone. Maybe @AnnieRawrz can create an Apekin cheerleading squad, lol.

Perhaps even different BAYC clubs competing against each other in different games, all sorts of monkey business can go down.
