NFT staking change

Starting a discussion: should NFT staking be moved to ApeChain?

Ending a discussion: Yes

(But seriously, we should move as much ApeCoin and ApeCoin related activity to ApeChain as long as it’s done in a way that doesn’t cause financial downside to the extent this is possible)

Probably worth linking this comment by @blockchainzilla re horizon from @yatsiu thread which I believe is still live and in the admin process.

We are still waiting for some numbers etc.

Do your part and then we can all do ours would be my advice @Waabam

That way we can decide based on cost benefit analysis, vs no Idea and blindly making decisions based on zero knowledge, all for one year of staking that’s left when there’s also zero conviction in apechain shown by Yuga as there’s no talk of moving our NFTs over to our own chain. :man_shrugging:

Instead of “should we vs shouldn’t we”, let’s have the “what needs to be true” conversation.

Lay out everything that needs to happen to move this over to ApeChain, and then we can all discuss if we want those things to happen (or if we missed a step).

Yes. it’s align with @yatsiu suggestion few months ago (Move Apestake staking protocol to Apechain).

good for TVL (more asset on chain)
good for ApeChain onboarding (I’ve face staggering to explain about ETH Stake and APE in ApeChain)
good for community (see us adopted their feedback)
good for innovation (giving us the option to re-think how to make it better, updated, and relevant for ApeChain DNA / benefit - example, allocate reward for hackathon devs as an NFT holders support; create fun small game that only NFT holders can play and get reward of)
good for tech (ApeChain is super fast and cheap)

best,

Hi ApeCoin DAO Community,

@Waabam has requested to withdraw their application. This AIP will be moved to and remain in the Withdrawn AIPs category.

Kind Regards,

@Facilitators
