We’ve allocated €5,200 for “Merchandising and Goodies” to cover 52 events, which breaks down to approximately €100 per event. This budget is intended to provide attendees with branded items that enhance their experience and promote our events. Here’s a breakdown of how we plan to use this budget:

Sourcing: We’re sourcing our merchandise from cost-effective suppliers like Sticker Mule and Alibaba to maximize value.

Items: The merchandise mix includes:

  • Stickers

  • Key rings

  • Magnets

  • Gift bags

Branding: All items will feature Decentralized Drinks and ApeCoin branding, reinforcing our identity and partnership.

Distribution: We plan to distribute these items as giveaways at each meet-up, enhancing attendee engagement and providing tangible reminders of the events.

Cost per event: The €100 per event budget allows us to offer a variety of items to attendees while maintaining cost-effectiveness across our 52 planned events.

This approach allows us to consistently provide branded merchandise throughout our event series, creating a cohesive experience for attendees and promoting both Decentralized Drinks and ApeCoin in a tangible, lasting way.

Made by Apes Booth Creation: €2,000
Customized Neon Sign: €400
NFT Paris Side Event Drinks: €5,700

Love the simplicity of the ask as well as the financial breakdown for it.

I would love to see a greater tie in to ApeCoin. While I appreciate free drinks as a MAYC owner and acceptance of ApeCoin, it can limit the potential reach as there are only so many of us Apes.

Perhaps something that allows discounted pricing for holding / paying with $APE in addition to the promotional items you list above.

Not necessarily a financial component of the AIP, but having a way to easily onboard people into buying their first ApeCoin would also be a nice, added component.

Also, would LOVE for there to be an NFT Paris side event hosted here (Powered by ApeCoin obviously)

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! I’m glad you appreciated the simplicity and clarity of the financial breakdown.

You’ve raised some excellent points about further integrating ApeCoin into the proposal. I agree that broadening the appeal beyond just MAYC/BAYC holders could enhance the initiative’s reach. Offering discounts for holding or paying with $APE is a great idea, and I’ll definitely implement that in the proposal. This discount could extend beyond just the event, making it applicable to the bar on other days as well, encouraging more frequent use of ApeCoin.

I also plan to implement POAPs on ApeChain once it’s integrated, which will be a fantastic way to onboard newcomers into the ecosystem. Additionally, hosting ApeCoin giveaways during our in-real-life events could be a great way to drive engagement and excitement around these initiatives.

After the success of our NFT Paris side events last year, it would be fantastic to host another one, this time powered by ApeCoin. This would be a perfect way to spotlight ApeCoin’s involvement and create a memorable experience for attendees.

Thanks again for your valuable input—these suggestions will help us build a stronger proposal for everyone involved!

King.

I love this idea. You run and support so many amazing community events, such as our Degens In Paris, this just makes so much sense for all of us and the DAO to now support you. I am 100% behind this bro

well the ask is small so looks fine.

I love the name and the previous collaborations. I would request one more adjustment though. Some folks may only be in the area on days your event is not happening. FOR THAT I would recommend either A.) Changing days throughout the month OR B) -and i like this one better; Those with APECOIN or BAYC or MAYC (you can decide) can get a free drink at your establishment. Just a thought.

Thank you! As the owner of the bar, I would love to give that opportunity to the community. It would be great to offer ApeCoin holders, as well as BAYC and MAYC members, free drinks and discounts whenever they are in town, creating a consistent clubhouse vibe. I’ll definitely amend the proposal to include this, as it’s a fantastic idea to ensure that everyone feels welcome and valued, even when the event isn’t happening.

To manage this effectively, we could implement a monthly limit on the number of free drinks to ensure we’re not asking the DAO for unnecessary funds. I’ll adjust the proposal to reflect this approach.

Thanks for the suggestion. And don’t hesitate if you have any other suggestion. I’m always open to feedback!

1. Your proposal includes free drinks and/or discounts for ApeCoin, BAYC and MAYC holders. How would you be verifying ownership?

We will verify ownership using TokenProof.

2. Will your events require token holders to connect blockchain wallets?

No, we will not require any connections to the blockchain to enter the events.

3. Do you have plans to protect any collected user data? Please elaborate.

We will only collect essential data necessary for the functioning of our service. “email, X accounts, Addresses for POAP etc.”

4. You’ll be “featuring lively discussions led by industry experts.” Would these discussions be formally structured, and what would be the focus? Which “industry experts” would be leading these discussions?

The discussions will maintain an open, non-formal atmosphere, consistent with past Decentralized Drinks events

In the past, we’ve had the privilege of hosting discussions led by notable industry figures such as:

Frédéric Chesnais, a French entrepreneur specializing in video game production, currently the CEO of Crypto Blockchain Industries and former CEO of Atari.

Kevin Serou, CEO of Defit, known not only for his business acumen but also for his impressive athletic achievements, including completing 16 Ironman races.

These examples illustrate the caliber of speakers we aim to continue featuring at our events. We strive to bring in leaders who not only have deep expertise in blockchain and crypto industries but also bring unique perspectives from their diverse backgrounds and experiences.

5. You’ve listed a budget line item of €5,200 for “Merchandising and Goodies.” Please provide more detail regarding these items.

6. Regarding any granted permission to use ApeCoin trademarks by the Ape Foundation, do you expect to maintain full ownership rights to the content and/or IP which may be created as a result of the approval of your proposal? Would your expectation be to keep complete ownership of all content produced from this proposal?

As a dedicated Bored Ape holder for over 1000 days and the organizer of Decentralized Drinks events for the past year, our approach to content ownership is collaborative and community-oriented. We do not intend to retain full ownership of the content created as a result of these ApeCoin-funded events. Instead:

1. Shared Ownership: We’re open to sharing ownership of the content with the Ape Foundation. This aligns with our commitment to the BAYC ecosystem and the spirit of decentralization.

2. Content Distribution: We’re happy to make event-related content available to the Ape Foundation for their use in promoting the ApeCoin community and ecosystem.

3. Community Benefit: Our primary goal is to benefit the broader ApeCoin and BAYC community. We view any content created through these events as a resource for the entire ecosystem.

4. Flexible Usage Rights: We’re open to discussing specific terms with the Ape Foundation to ensure that both parties have appropriate rights to use and distribute the content.

5. Transparency: We commit to being transparent about how content is used and distributed, in line with our long-standing relationship with the BAYC community.

7. You’ve noted a request for “promotion support on community discussion platforms and the ApeCoin website.” Regarding social media requests, the APE Foundation has introduced a social media request form to streamline the process of requesting tweets, retweets, and other social media activities. This form is currently accessible to approved AIP Authors, and requests would be considered at the discretion of the Ape Foundation.

We’ll make sure to utilize this form for our social media requests moving forward.

8. Do you provide consent to apply updates to the relevant areas of your proposal based on your responses to the questions above?

Yes

9. Do you provide consent to share these questions and answers with the community in this forum?

Yes

A DAR package is being worked on and upon completion this AIP will move into Administrative Review. Follow this Topic as further updates will be posted here in the comments.
