Appreciate you updating this with feedback from the DAO - whole point of the AIP process, but don’t see it as often as we should.
Reasonable budget and getting high-quality video content is something a team can use across channels and repeatedly over time. Feels like a good initiative, but I would defer to anyone that has more experience on the actual video budget at a micro level (not an expert in that field).
Thank you so much for this! I would post the reports here on the forum, and would be happy to send out tweets, DMs, and jump on spaces to let folks know where they can find them.
If you have another recommendation, or a better place to put them, I would be happy to look into it. But for now, I think the forum is a good central location that all DAO members have access to.
Thank you! I took a lot of advice about the direction of my AIP and coming up with a reasonable cost from @AaronHaber , who was my ApeU Coach.
I also spoke with @LiveFast9986 who is extremely versed in video production costs. Both of them were instrumental in helping me design the pricing structure.
Thank you for your ideas [and the ApeCoin DAO community for the insightful discussions].
I’ve reached out to the author to address his questions and to finalize the AIP Draft using the appropriate template.
Once the AIP Draft is confirmed by the author and meets all DAO-approved guidelines, it will receive an AIP ID number and move forward for Draft Analysis Review.

I’ve been thinking about your AIP-538 and I believe there are a few adjustments that could strengthen the proposal and make it more valuable for both participants and the DAO itself. Here’s what I’d suggest:
1. Introducing a 250 $APE Fee
It could be beneficial to introduce a 250 $APE fee for anyone who wants to take advantage of the free promotional videos. This small payment acts as a return on investment (ROI) for the DAO and ensures that participants are serious about promoting their projects. It’s also a great way to provide a modest revenue stream back to the DAO, covering some of the production costs and keeping everything sustainable.
2. Additional 1% Gross Profit Contribution
If the promotional videos lead to financial success for the participant, it’s only fair that the DAO benefits too. I suggest adding a 1% gross profit contribution if the videos help generate any revenue. This way, the projects that receive benefits from the exposure will directly contribute to the ecosystem. It aligns incentives and ensures the DAO gets a tangible return from its support.
3. Monitoring the Impact
It would be useful to implement a tracking system to monitor the results of the video promotions. Every participant should be required to report back on the success of the videos, including:
Number of new users or customers.
Sales growth or conversion rates.
Engagement metrics (views, likes, shares, etc.).
This feedback loop ensures that the DAO knows exactly how effective the videos are and helps justify future investments. It will also give you some solid metrics to show the value of the project.
Summary
Adding these elements will ensure that participants have some skin in the game, help the DAO recover part of its investment, and provide transparency on the success of the videos. I think these adjustments will make the proposal even stronger and more sustainable for the DAO.
What do you think?
I’m confident this can help improve the project for everyone involved!

1. One of your Steps to Implement includes “Release LOR3LORD Awesome Video Application (LAVA) Request Form.” Would the LAVA (application) be provided via direct outreach? If not, please provide details on where applicants would find this application.
Yes. This would be provided via direct outreach. Direct outreach would consist of posts on Discource and Twitter, messages to group chats in Telegram and X, and personal DM’s to MBA’s and Builders.
2. What personal details would applicants be required to provide?
Applicants would only need to provide basic contact information readily available on social media platforms.
3. Do you have plans to protect any collected user data? Please elaborate.
We will only be collecting applicants’ social media handles through a Google Form. This form will not be shareable and will have restricted access. Any downloaded data will be encrypted, and we will regularly monitor permissions to ensure it is handled in line with best data privacy practices.
4. Your proposal would produce “videos across all platforms including X and Youtube.” Please provide the accounts for each platform you plan to host these videos on.
These videos would exist primarily on X and Youtube, but would also be shared via Telegram, Discord, and Discourse.
5. Would you be solely responsible for the scope of production, including script writing, audio recording, audio editing, SRT file development, graphic production, video editing, and research? If not, please update your proposal to include any team members.
I would solely be responsible.
6. Regarding any granted permission to use ApeCoin trademarks by the Ape Foundation, do you expect to maintain full ownership rights to the content and/or IP which may be created as a result of the approval of your proposal?
Yes. I would expect to maintain full ownership rights to the content and/or IP which may be created.
7. Would your expectation be to keep complete ownership of all content produced from this proposal?
Yes, I would expect to keep complete ownership of all content produced from this proposal but would allow applicants to use content in anyway they see fit.
8. As per the ApeCoin General Guidelines, “proposals will not be put up for vote if they involve illegal activity, hate speech, pornographic material, or are at odds with the mission or values of the APE Foundation.” Can you ensure that the content in your videos would be in keeping with these guidelines?
I ensure that content in my videos will be in line with the General Guidelines.
9. You’ve noted that “The only request from the APE Foundation for help would be a simple retweet of video content.” Regarding social media requests, the APE Foundation has introduced a social media request form to streamline the process of requesting tweets, retweets, and other social media activities. This form is currently accessible to approved AIP Authors, and requests would be considered at the discretion of the Ape Foundation.
Understood. I will follow all procedures the Foundation has in place.
10. Do you provide consent to apply updates to the relevant areas of your proposal based on your responses to the questions above?
Yes. Of course!
11. Do you provide consent to share these questions and answers with the community in this forum?
Yes. Of course!
A DAR package is being worked on and upon completion this AIP will move into Administrative Review. Follow this Topic as further updates will be posted here in the comments.
