ApeWater Lunar Mission – Sending ApeCoin to the Moon
TEAM DESCRIPTION
Andrew (Co-Founder, Ape Beverages) - In 2022, founded Ape Beverages, which is a Los Angeles-based beverage company that makes Ape Water, which is 100% natural spring water, locally sourced and packaged in recyclable aluminum cans. In addition to his Ape Water adventures, Andrew is also a pioneer in the world of open format deejaying, having performed with over 100+ gold and platinum record artists. He’s also a serial entrepreneur having launched DrinkCity (GroupOn for beverage), Warwick (popular Los Angeles nightclub) and HIRD Music Group (strategic partnership with Jim Henson Studios).
Ben (Founder & CEO, LifeShip) - Ben Haldeman is a space entrepreneur, futurist, engineer, and spacecraft architect. As the Founder and CEO of LifeShip, he leads a community-driven space mission to preserve Earth’s genetic heritage by sending DNA to the Moon. His recent endeavors include co-authoring the book “Lunar Legacy,” inspired by his journey with LifeShip, and promoting initiatives like #pyramidonthemoon and #artlifeship.
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
ApeWater proposes a groundbreaking initiative to send a physical drop of ApeWater to the Moon as part of LifeShip’s lunar payload aboard the Astrolab FLIP rover. This mission, scheduled for launch in November 2025, will immortalize ApeCoin’s brand in space history while creating unique engagement opportunities for the ApeCoin community. The proposal requests a $25,000 grant from the ApeCoin DAO:
