Nomination Statement

I feel I am great for the Special Council because as an accountant, I need to separate emotion from common sense practicality and application of guidelines, rules, and regulations. I keep the company I work for in regulation by making sure I file everything timely and complete in the first request while already answering questions that may be coming up.

Motivation

My motivation for this is to be a fully transparent member of the community. We know what has happened when people are anonymous. I am willing to put my name, address, reputation, and family on the line. Everything will be public, I have nothing to hide because I will be a representation of the community, not myself.

Rationale

I have been on the volunteer committee for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses New Year’s Parade (As seen yearly on tv), and like with any other organization, implemented a schedule, tasks lists, points of communication, and most importantly, a way for people to bring up issues. I understand that behind every issue, is a person who honestly has a problem or a concern and that needs to be addressed. Yes, it takes time. Yes, it takes a real moment to sit and understand and hear the person through. Yes, I have dedicated a portion of my life for this Special Council. The most important thing I want to provide you, is my time and devotion. I don’t want to be an email address that you can reach out to. I am a member of the community that you can reach all day long (As seen though my web 3 posts all day!)

Specifications

I created the first Student Investment Fund for UC Riverside. $5,000 pooled from myself and donations along with a $5,000 grant from the school and we were off to start formally stock trading against other school titans such as Harvard and USC. The first thing I did was recruit our finance professors to be part of a “Multi-sig wallet” before “multi-sig wallet” was a thing. Our entire student organization had to decide as a group what stocks to get into, what percentage, and other portfolio management metrics. We went on to compete at the University of Dayton, Ohio R.I.S.E. conference where we placed in the top 10 of portfolios for that year! A proud accomplishment coming from nothing. I want to bring a similar mentality to this DAO. Everyone has a voice and I want to share your voice.

Concluding Statement

In summation, I’m a great candidate for the Special Council because I am FULLY doxxed, I’m a dad to an autistic child, live my life as an accountant and therefore, always calculate what would be the best option. Lastly, I have never even once listed my mutant #5312 for sale (which was purchased on mint day). This is my forever ape. NostradamusTheApe.eth. I see a future where we all flourish. Thank you all.

Hi @FunkyFred, I am asking all candidates these same questions:

  1. If elected, what is the one item you feel passionate about and would like to see accomplished during your tenure within the DAO? (Let’s pretend you only had the time and energy to make a personal push for one item - what would it be?)

  2. Are there any factors in your life that may limit your ability to serve? (conflicts of interest, time allocation, limited wifi bc you work from Starbucks… etc)

  3. What is your least favorite thing right now with our DAO in it’s current state?

  4. What is a Koda?

Thank you,
F/S
