Abstract Summary: This AIP improves the delegation experience by adding an application process and allowing users to easily delegate and re-delegate directly from the ApeCoin site.
@Facilitators as this relates to the updates on the official ApeCoin website, please give an update here. @maariab could you also provide your update. Most appreciated.
Also as you are applying for a new AIP, the Implementation update of your past AIP is important to help the community judge your ability to deliver.
This AIP was completed February 2023 and is available here. The grant was fully funded, and an open source version of the delegation site was shared with the Foundation administrators in 2023.
Features of the delegation site include:
Uploading of delegation statements
Ability to see delegate voting history
Filtering of delegates by voting power, random shuffle, new, and alphabetical
Real-time and historical data on Snapshot proposals
Ability to delegate for the first-time or re-delegate voting power
Since the release of the delegation site, over 100 delegates have uploaded statements! These delegates are very active contributors / participants in the DAO, and have a strong track record of voting on proposals (you can see for yourself by filtering for delegates ‘with statements’ and viewing their individual profiles).
Open sourcing the delegation site allows it to be a public resource for the DAO and the blockchain community at large. Anyone is able to suggest improvements and built on top of the base work that has been completed. I don’t believe the foundation has published the repository yet, but they have everything they need to do so.
Thank you for the feedback. I will connect with you via DMs, as so of the functions are broken now (happens with tech overtime) and need an update. So would be great to reach out to the original developers.
