1. Aside from BAKC figurines and BAYC busts, would any other IP collections be made available by Bored Statues through this proposal?
For this AIP and this stage, our primary focus is on BAYC busts and BAKC figurines, as they resonate with the core community. However, we are open to expanding into other IP collections based on future demand and partnerships with the DAO and other IP holders.
2. What are the expected dimensions of the collectibles being produced?
The dimensions of the collectibles will be highly customizable, as we utilize additive manufacturing (3D printing) technology. Customers will have the flexibility to choose sizes, with options ranging from small desk-sized collectibles (e.g., 3-7 inches) to larger statement pieces (up to 18-24 inches or more). The price will scale with the size of the collectible.
3. Part of your Steps involves “[securing] shipping/logistics partnerships for key regions (USA, Europe, Asia).” Would holders in regions outside of these areas still be eligible for shipping?
Yes, we aim to provide global shipping. While our primary manufacturing & logistics partnerships will focus on key regions (USA, Europe, Asia), we will work with international couriers to ensure that holders in other regions can receive their collectibles. Shipping fees / time of delivery and customs fees may vary based on location.
4. Would your platform require token holders to connect wallets?
Yes, token holders will need to connect their wallets to access certain features on the platform, such as verifying ownership of BAYC/BAKC tokens to claim specific collectibles.
5. If a wallet connection is required, what are the plans for security audits of the app?
We prioritize security and plan to engage reputable third-party auditors to conduct comprehensive security audits of our platform before launch. This will include wallet connection protocols and data protection measures to ensure the highest level of security for users.
6. Do you have any estimated costs for users to use the platform’s features, or any premium features?
Basic platform features, such as browsing and viewing available MBA collectibles, will be free. There are no plans for ‘Premium features’, but there will be customization options (e.g., size, material upgrades, or limited edition designs), may incur additional costs, which will be transparently displayed on the platform.
7. What personal information would holders be expected to provide in order to fulfill their orders (including shipping)?
To fulfill orders, holders will need to provide standard shipping information, such as name, address, and contact details. We will minimize data collection to what is absolutely necessary to complete the transaction and ensure delivery.
8. Do you have any estimated costs for users to produce their 3D statues?
The cost of producing a 3D statue will depend on the size and level of customization (e.g., size, material upgrades, or limited edition designs)) chosen by the user. For reference, smaller statues may start at approximately $100, while larger and more intricate designs could range up to several hundred dollars up to thousands. We will ensure pricing is transparent and competitive.
9. Do you have plans to protect any collected user data? Please elaborate.
Yes, user data protection is a top priority. We will implement encryption protocols and data protection policies in line with global privacy standards (such as GDPR). User data will only be used for the purpose of order fulfillment and will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent.
10. As per the ApeCoin General Guidelines, “proposals will not be put up for vote if they involve illegal activity, hate speech, pornographic material, or are at odds with the mission or values of the APE Foundation.” Can you ensure that the content of Bored Statues would be in keeping with these guidelines?
Absolutely. We are committed to ensuring that all Bored Statues content aligns with the values of the APE Foundation. We will strictly prohibit any illegal, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate content from being associated with our platform.
