I can get behind anything that helps brings awareness to our affect on the world around us!!
The Modern world often forgets where we our species has come from, and the innovation of survival that had to be endured for us to even reach this point of humanity and obtain “civilized” life.
[even though some of us here in web3 act like barbarians still, :wink: , tehehe]

In 2005, as a 14 year old kid, I used to scour the streets every Monday on trash day, in search of scrap metal to turn in it for money, and of course to make stuff out of it…

This little obsession, as a teenager… grew to a major obsession, as a young adult, as I ended up saving up enough money from “picking up scrap (money) off the literal ground” … that I was able to buy my own truck at the age of 17. I proceeded to start my own company at the age of 18.

I grew this lil gig, into a respectable local recycling service and salvage allocation business, located here in Cleveland Ohio. I took pride in resource diversion, and doing my part in making sure the holes in the ground, weren’t getting filled with streams of much needed, perfectly good resources. Learning about pieces of this, and parts of that, and day dreaming about what else they could be used for.

I stayed in business for 15 years, employing 10 people, and dispatching 6 trucks around Northern Ohio. I was making money and making a difference, living the dream… Then the good ole Pandemic taught me some lessons, and I had to move onto other things in my life (as I turned 30 years old).

I found myself here in Web3, which captivated me more as a world changing endeavor.
I will always carry the passion for resource sustainability, sensible operation of systems, and proper construction of circular and cyclical energy systems.

I say all this not because I want a pat on the back, but as an example, that IT IS possible to care about the earth, care about what you do ( even if its simple), and also make money doing it, while all the while making a difference in the world the surrounds. The best way to show people the way, is to the cut the path for them.

I admire your post, and I want to get involved, by supporting this idea, and also by providing some insight and hands on R/D into how we can use pieces and parts to build low voltage, re-generatively powered, blockchain infrastructures, using nature and old computer parts (also automobile parts), which already exist in single stream recycling distribution, in order to construct a one of a kind, truly green off grid node support system (obviously this will just be a supplement as first, for whatever niche that makes sense).

The salvage bug never left me, even during my career here in web3 since 2021, I have been conceptualizing like a mad scientist; so much so I might have some prototypes that just might actually work, that I would love to contribute to this project if it gets the funding.

I was encouraged to let the cat off of the bag on the post, and I think the nascence of ApeChain along with the novelty of upcoming decentralized low voltage green computing solutions … is not only probable, its possibly a collective dream.

Think of it now, a small cluster of ESP32 transceivers, loaded with open source code, running off a small solar panel, or even a spinning treadmill motor connected to a nearby stream, producing the electricity needed to send the hashed data back to a to star-link satellite straight from BFE, hashing ApeCoin Txns. <3 (There is a blockchain called Duino-Coin that runs on a Kolka energy efficient code that we could utilize parts of it for computation)

What would you estimate the cost of having a report generated addressing findings and proposed solutions be? Would be best suited post-ApeChain but I am curious, as being able to provide the community with a plan in place before any larger asks may be best.

GWG could likely help fund something like this, within reason.

Love this. I definitely think that Immutable X’s push towards carbon neutrality received a lot of initial traction and led to long-term users, so this initiative makes sense.
