Hey @Lost.Admin I guess I’ll extend this another 7 days. It’s not getting the attn it deserves. Maybe after elections.

Hey @0xSword,

Thank you for the proposal. It presents an interesting opportunity to empower communities and businesses in the web3 space by providing them what we doing. While I see the potential benefits of this initiative, I believe there are a few challenging aspects and considerations that need to be addressed and open to debate. Here are two points to discuss:

Sustainability and self-sufficiency

I agree with the suggestion made by @srinigoes that the DAO should support clubs in their initial days but gradually transition them to become self-sustaining (if mission statement will fit to that). It is crucial to establish a mechanism that encourages clubs to develop their own revenue streams and rely less on continuous funding from the DAO. We need to strike a balance between providing initial support and ensuring long-term sustainability.

Governance and oversight

With the establishment of multiple clubs and chapters, there is a need for robust governance and oversight mechanisms. We should define the roles and responsibilities of club representatives, establish reporting and accountability frameworks, and ensure transparency in the allocation and utilization of funds. Additionally, we should consider the potential risks associated with the use of the ApeCoin name and brand, and develop guidelines to mitigate these risks (something I started few days ago, but should be official ASAP).

These points highlight some of the key considerations and challenges we should address before implementing the proposal. I invite fellow community members to share their thoughts and engage in a constructive debate to shape this initiative in the best possible way.

Hi @MisterHype

You have brought out pertinent points for discussion and I think I had raised a query relating to self-sufficiency and @0xSword had said said something about handholding initially. But we should definitely discuss more on this.

Governance and oversight is definitely important and I’m not sure if we would need another WG for that, or we could task one of the existing ones.

Just sharing my views.
