Proposals submitted to the AIP Ideas section don’t need to be presented as fully finalized AIP Drafts, they may lack some details in the beginning. It’s important to use the mandatory 7-day discussion period for AIPs to gather feedback and engage with the community, not only on this forum, but also across other community discussion platforms.

The Facilitator team will assist and guide you through the phases of the AIP process. If necessary, you can extend the discussion period for another 7 days by updating the @Facilitators.

PROPOSAL NAME: Create an AIP Downloadable Template

PROPOSAL CATEGORY: Informational

ABSTRACT:

Create a downloadable AIP template to expedite and increase accessibility and help automate the process of proposal submission. Allowing any person to download the template and immediately start composing their AIP and sharing it with others for opinions, feedback, and insight before submitting it in AIP Ideas. The current template only exists as a web page or auto-integrated into the draft submission, making it difficult or impede speediness and collaborative behavior.

BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM:

Easily accessible downloadable template will help users immediately act on ideas via mobile or desktop rather than having to search for a web page template and/or be forced to start a new topic and then see a draft that’s locked inside the submission page. Deleting the need of having to copy and paste into a Google Docs link to be more visually friendly, sharing for collaboration, and easier to note-take and correct/overview your key points and possible errors.

PLATFORMS & TECHNOLOGIES:

Add the template to forum.apecoin.com, Snapshot page, and Discord Server Official Links to make it as easily accessible as possible.

STEPS TO IMPLEMENT & TIMELINE:

I’ve ported and updated the draft provided by forum.apecoin.com and from when submitting an AIP.

  • If you’re content with the feedback received, your next steps are to finalize your proposal using the AIP Draft Template.

  • A moderator will reach out to the author to finalize the AIP Draft. Upon receipt of the final Draft, we will review and provide instructions on the next steps.

Thank you for your ideas [and the ApeCoin DAO community for the insightful discussions].

A moderator will reach out to the author to finalize the AIP Draft using the appropriate template.

  • Once the AIP Draft is confirmed by the author and meets all DAO-approved guidelines, it will receive an AIP ID number and move forward for Draft Analysis Review.

Follow this Topic as further updates will be posted here in the comments. In accordance with DAO-approved guidelines, if the author does not respond within 30 days, the proposal will be automatically transferred to the Withdrawn category, and the author can re-submit the idea.
