In our ongoing efforts to support the community, we have some exciting updates to share with you.
Here’s a look into some of the latest developments around the ApeCoin DAO ecosystem:
Governance Revamp & the AIP Process 
AIP-582: ApeChain, On-chain – ApeCoin DAO Governance Revamp has passed community vote, and with it comes a new chapter for our DAO.
While we work on transitioning toward the new governance process, all AIPs submitted after the passing of AIP-582 will continue to adhere to the traditional process outlined in AIP-1 until further notice. New AIP submissions may eventually be paused pending final steps of revamp implementation, and we will be sure to provide the community with notice as soon as any official dates are available to announce.
Approved AIP Implementation Updates 
To better serve the ApeCoin community, the Facilitators are now actively updating AIPs with milestone completion details, including confirmation of fund disbursement through the Ape Foundation. This means that the community doesn’t need to rely solely on authors’ self-reporting to be provided with real-time milestone updates.
Part of this effort also includes an update to the AIP Implementation Update category topics. We have added color codes to make it easier to visually identify an approved AIP’s progress at a glance.
- AIP has been fully implemented.
- AIP is in progress or pending the next milestone update.
- No author response or update in 3 or more months.
Funding Tranches 
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance transparency and clarify milestones for proposals requesting funding, we have integrated Funding Tranches (milestone-based payments) into the Overall Cost section of the AIP Draft Template.
Having clearly stated Funding Tranches not only helps preserve the longevity of our DAO treasury, but also provides objective benchmarks for authors to ensure that their stated milestones are being met before their next round of funding is issued.
