Aside from the cost, I’m just doubting that what’s the benefit of sponsoring an e-sport, racing, NBA, football, or soccer team? Especially when the ApeCoin or ApeChain is still not ready, don’t have products that are able to generate profit, attract people to come and spend, drain their wallet.
Marketing is the process of communicating with consumers and stakeholders with the objective of earning profit, maintaining customer relationships, and managing stakeholder expectations.
IMO, this will be an “opportunity to donate a top e-sports team.”.
I’ve worked with esports teams before. CSGO (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) is known for losing money. Big companies often join and leave quickly. They realize the fans don’t buy products unrelated to gaming. Fans mostly want gaming gear, streaming tools, and computer brands.
Esports fans get excited during events but lose interest fast afterward. I don’t think the exposure is worth the cost. The esports industry is changing. It didn’t grow as much as people hoped before COVID-19. There is an adjustment occurring across the different games and valuation of
organizations.
Update: we are going to organize a call open to everyone where the tram will share their vision and disclose of course who they are. I saw a first draft if the AIP and I think they are in the right direction.
Again, this is a post in general to gauge interest and if I should spend time on this as steward. Not the proposal itself.
As mentioned in the post and the comment, I accepted to help the team who reached out to me a while ago to the condition they will not be anonymous for the AIP and that there would be a good feedback loop for the community.
They have been working hard on a draft for their proposal and would like to present it to the community for a first round of live feedback before posting it in the forum next week.
I’ll be hosting an online call with them to introduce the company/team and their AIP idea. Everyone interested is welcome. There will be a Q&A following the presentation.
@DIM Could you please add a quick update to the proposal with the revelations/outcomes of yesterday’s call? Just the major bullet points for those who couldn’t attend the call but would like to learn more.
