PROPOSAL CATEGORY: Brand Decision

ABSTRACT:

This zero cost proposal would amplify the impact of ApeComms’ ongoing public work for the ApeCoin ecosystem. By increasing availability of accurate information, showcasing progress from within the ecosystem, and featuring accepted AIPs, we aim to benefit the DAO. ApeComms has a proven track record of elevating proposal authors, onboarding new teams and contributors, highlighting members in the DAO, and fostering a welcoming environment for all ApeCoin holders.

TEAM DESCRIPTION:

ApeComms is maintained by Lost aka TheHodlrCollective, and consists of proactive contributors dedicated to improving communication and engagement within the ApeCoin community.

BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM:

This proposal empowers ApeCoin holders to be more informed by providing equal access to information about the ApeCoin DAO ecosystem, streamlining elements of communication, and encouraging community participation. Through initiatives such as written proposal assessments, educational Twitter Spaces, and broadcasting interviews with community members, we would contribute to building a more vibrant, informed, bonded and engaged ApeCoin community.

PLATFORMS & TECHNOLOGIES:

Our initiative would utilize existing discussion platforms such as Twitter Spaces, the ApeCoin forum, and the ApeCoin community Discord to foster communication, engagement, and knowledge sharing. We would collaborate with other existing community initiatives, ad-hoc, to help ensure widespread, consistent, and accurate information across other platforms.

STEPS TO IMPLEMENT & TIMELINE:

We are requesting permission to begin the following work :

  • Enhance Outreach (Awareness): Broaden outreach efforts to involve more existing ApeCoin voters and holders by creating content with the ApeCoin Twitter account.
    Coordinate with the APE Foundation’s administration to conduct regular weekly Twitter Spaces across various time zones featuring members of the community and updates for the community’s benefit.

  • Publicize Criteria and Onboarding (Participation): Clearly outline ApeComms team criteria and onboarding goals for volunteers interested in joining ApeComms.

  • Collaborate with the Community: Continue and develop ongoing relationships with community members, including DAO-approved initiatives, to ensure streamlined communication and expansion.

  • Continued Educational Initiatives (Education): Improve community engagement and education by creating content in collaboration with DAO members, continuing proposal assessments, and interviews.

We expect that the initiatives outlined above could begin immediately upon approval of the proposal.

This proposal does not require funding from the ApeCoin DAO.

Hi ApeCoin DAO community,

I want to thank everyone for their thoughtful comments here and across discussion platforms over the past week. Our team was born in this community and has enjoyed unbelievable support from the members over the past year.

Thank you.

We’re excited to present this proposal with our ideas to increase and expand the efforts of our team for this community. With that in mind, we have applied some small modifications to highlight what we are asking for with this proposal:

  1. We have updated the title, removing the word “Engagement” in place of “Education”.
  • This small update accurately reflects the goals of the team.
  • We need to educate the existing token holders about what is happening and what has happened, so that they are empowered to take action and make decisions.
  1. We have increased emphasis on the zero cost and educational aspects of this proposal.
  • As a Brand Decision proposal, our main goal in presenting this idea is to increase access to accurate information using community discussion platforms. While it is presented at a zero cost, there are always inherit risks whenever the DAO aligns with a third party. Our team is uniquely positioned as long-time & high context contributors, to help create this bridge between the APE Foundation and the community.
  1. We have increased emphasis on our request to coordinate with the custodian of the ApeCoin Twitter account, the APE Foundation.
  • Through our request to coordinate with the APE Foundation, our goal is not only to increase access to information. But also to send a signal from the DAO, that we expect important information to be presented transparently and with high visibility.

Thank you for your ideas [and the ApeCoin DAO community for the insightful discussions]. A moderator will reach out to the author to finalize the AIP Draft using the appropriate template. In accordance with DAO-approved guidelines, if the author doesn’t respond within 30 days, the proposal will be automatically transferred to the Withdrawn category, and the author can re-submit the idea. Once the AIP is Drafted and meets all DAO-approved guidelines, it will be published on Snapshot for the official live voting phase at: Snapshot.
