TEAM DESCRIPTION:
I am a fitness professional from Taiwan with extensive experience in fitness and multiple athletic and competitive achievements. As a national Taekwondo gold medalist and a bronze medalist in the university sports games, my competitive background allows me to incorporate competitive elements into the design of fitness games, motivating users to challenge themselves and gain a sense of achievement and enjoyment.

PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION:
Apexercise is a GameFi fitness app that promotes a healthier lifestyle, using the Apple Watch to track physical activity. Every week, a global competition is held for 5 days (120 hours), with no regional restrictions. The winner is the person who burns the most calories.
After COVID-19, although the world came to a standstill for a few years and many lost loved ones or friends, people have become more focused on living a healthy lifestyle than they were before the pandemic. More time is being spent exercising, and the methods are not limited to the gym; people can work out at home for 30 minutes by following YouTube videos. With just an Apple Watch, users can track the calories they burn. Technological advancements have played an important role in fitness. The Apple Watch provides real-time exercise data, enabling people to achieve their goals more efficiently. Our fitness game promotes a healthier lifestyle by using the Apple Watch to track activity—rewarding users based on their efforts.
Reason for Establishment
The rapid development of modern society, along with the increasing pressures of work and study, has caused many people to neglect the importance of physical health. A sedentary lifestyle, such as long hours sitting at a desk or using electronic devices, has a negative impact on health. In response, we have created a fitness game designed to motivate people to actively engage in exercise by focusing on calorie reduction, aiming to improve overall health and work efficiency.
Apexercise is held weekly, using the Apple Watch to track and measure participants’ physical activity, particularly calorie consumption. This has multiple positive effects on promoting personal health and fostering an active lifestyle. Participants pay an entry fee of $100 USD in Apecoin, providing both economic incentives and a greater sense of commitment. This design makes Apexercise not just a game but also an opportunity to invest in one’s health. Participants, motivated by the potential reward, are more likely to engage in regular exercise, which helps establish lasting fitness habits.
Apexercise is based on the number of calories burned, encouraging participants to exercise more actively. With advances in technology, smartwatches like the Apple Watch can accurately track exercise data such as workout duration, intensity, and calories burned. This ensures fairness and transparency in the competition, allowing participants to see their actual performance. Those who exercise more and burn more calories have the chance to win cash prizes, further encouraging people to engage in healthy activities.
A leaderboard is published weekly, and winners are required to claim their prizes within three days. The public leaderboard fosters healthy competition, enabling participants to see their efforts rewarded and motivating them to continue challenging themselves in future competitions.
Competition Format
Apexercise held every week from Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 50 participants and a maximum of 500. Participants are required to pay an entry fee of $100 USD in ApeCoin. The competition tracks the calories burned by participants using the Apple Watch, and the top 20% of participants who burn the most calories will evenly share the prize pool.
We will record all data, including participants’ exercise volume, workout duration, and calories burned, and publish it on the platform. If any data is found to be illogical or suspicious, the participant’s qualification will be revoked, and the entry fee will not be refunded.
Prize Distribution
The leaderboard is published weekly, and winners must claim their prizes on the platform within three days of the results being announced.
The total number of participants multiplied by the entry fee, after a 30% deduction, is evenly distributed among the top 20% of participants who burned the most calories.
For example, if the number of participants = 100 and the entry fee = $100 USD in ApeCoin:
Total entry fees = 100 x $100 ApeCoin = $10,000 USD in ApeCoin
After a 30% deduction (15% to ApeCoin DAO, 15% for platform operating costs):
= $10,000 x (1 - 30%) = $7,000 USD in ApeCoin
20 participants will receive prizes.
Even distribution: $7,000 / 20 = $350 USD in ApeCoin per participant.
Revenue Sources:
Every game allocates 15% to ApeCoin DAO and 15% to platform operating expenses.
