i think it’s a good idea even if we can do it with some browsers

Agreed that would be nice!

Making it an Discourse tool would cut all those problems and i highly think its a cheap thing to do!

Personally in the meantime they should be a twitter handle for some of the major languages where they would be a recap on what was said on the main twitter (English) because even if translation is settled, it is not everyone that understands English for context like twitter spaces or discord calls where everything is spoken in English.

Good idea, offering this as part of the whole package shows the DAO cares, sure you can translate using external tools but this would perhaps be more inviting and inclusive if built into the forum, an option that translates everything would be a huge win

Yea exactly would make the DAO more appealing for people that dont understand english.

Kinda hard doing that on calls, but on discord we already have some part of the community community posting recaps in english but already saw some translating for other people of their language.

Your idea of creating a tool for the forum with a translation button is excellent. It could certainly make discussions and understanding much easier for individuals who speak different languages.

Sometimes fairly simple problems are magnified. To have all posts written in your language simply use the google translate extension. If you need help downloading and installing this extension I’m happy to explain how to do it.

Thank you i really think this would help.

I think everyone already knows that, but thats what we are trying to cut here, with a tool insert here we wouldnt need to be wasting time going to translator back to discourse back to translator back to discourse, thats the objetive of this tool.

you don’t need to copy the text and take it to google translate. If you insert the extension and activate it, the messages you see here are automatically translated into your language. I am sending you an example of the result.

Never saw that on action, yep def sounds like a good extension.
Implementing that tool on discourse would cut any need of using exterior extensions and tools but that extension you are using its really whats expected.

you can ask google translator or if you have a friend that can help you it’s good.

Thats right any of these would work, but wouldnt you like to cut all these problems by simply having an tool inside of discourse ?

In my view, the use of a tool is paramount, it will always be operational, unlike a person with language functions.
