Awesome. That’s very cool to see. Please let us know when you’ve set a date with Guinness. I was a strong advocate for this in BOTB spaces the past month because I’ve also earned a Guinness World Record and I know how many doors it can open, especially in the attention economy that ApeCoin exists in.

When you get the record, please allow it to be used across the entire Ape ecosystem. That’ll make it a very worthwhile thing to have funded.

We’re excited to share the latest updates on the progress of AIP-495, our ambitious project to set a Guinness World Record for the largest gin & tonic during NFT Paris 2025. Here’s what has been accomplished so far:

  1. Guinness World Records Onboarding

We have officially initiated the onboarding process with Guinness World Records. Their team has confirmed that we have sufficient time to prepare and execute this record attempt successfully.

  1. Static Documentation for the Tank

The structural documentation for the design and production of the tank required for the record attempt has been commissioned. This marks a crucial step in ensuring the tank meets all safety and technical standards for the event.

  1. Discussions with NFT Paris

We are currently in discussions with NFT Paris organizers to secure a presence in the main event area. Our goal is to obtain a 20m² space for the record attempt and related activities. This will allow us to showcase our project prominently and engage with the Web3 community on a grand scale.

Progress Update on AIP-495
Guinness World Record Attempt at NFT Paris 2025

Dear ApeCoin DAO Community,

We’re excited to share the latest updates on the progress of AIP-495,

  1. Hologram NFT
    we can have the NFT holograms produced in the print shop at the end of January. Our upstream supplier confirmed this today. This is the first NFT project with an ERC-6551 standard on the ApeChain. The smart contract is being adapted. We are still clarifying the metadata internally.

  2. We have also contacted POAP today to clarify which POAP details we use. They have also confirmed that we can mint the POAP on the ApeChain. We now clarify the UI and the possibilities with the team

Excellent! That’s awesome to hear

I cofounded and was on the Executive Board of a community-led organization that was a mix of NFL & ESPN. We hosted weekly 400-player tournaments and casted the games live with a 135+ volunteer staff. One day we looked into world records and ended up breaking one with 1K+ gamers playing together.

Game still holds the record today. It was an awesome thing to be a part of, and when I say I LOVE being in large organizations doing high-impact things…this is why. :slightly_smiling_face:
