Welcome to the ApeCoin DAO

An initiative to grow the DAO and support the price of $APE.

This initiative started on July 11th, 2024 with the help of @adventurousape, @VonFrontin & @AaronHaber. This post is to seek further support from the community as it scales. :building_construction:

Inspiration for this initiative is drawn in large part from the Welcome Apes Spaces held for new BAYC/MAYC hodlers, however this initiative is specifically for new $APE hodlers. :fire:

With the launch of ApeChain, we can expect a MAJOR influx of new DAO members. Let’s be proactive in onboarding them as best as possible.

My first true introduction to the ApeCoin DAO came through ApeComms. It was life-altering for me, and I draw a lot of inspiration and lessons from observing @Lost do what he does.

I’ve been successfully trialing this concept with participants and customers from my approved AIP-383 The Public Bored, and now it feels appropriate to expand to the broader ecosystem. :earth_americas:

Phase 1: A series of Twitter Spaces called Welcome to the ApeCoin DAO :loudspeaker:

  • The focus is specifically on new DAO members and potential members who may still be on the fence.
  • I give free $APE to those courageous enough to come on stage, introduce themselves, and ask questions.
  • Co-Hosts and Speakers help guide new members to the correct resources to get off to a good start within the community, as well as give DAO updates and do some ‘DAO shop talk’.
  • Encouragement is provided for new community members to start with building their reputation in the DAO, by leveraging their unique talents and skills to help existing community projects and initiatives.
  • 3 Spaces have already been hosted, with a 4th one coming up soon (RSVP below)

      • Note: Twitter seems to have rugged this space, it was called 'Welcome to ApeCoin, had 300+ ppl, and was working fine until last week, now the name and attendance is changed and I’ve heard people can only hear my voice

Phase 2: A Twitter raid of new members in the style of $APE follow $APE :apekinyes:

  • A Welcome tweet is sent out welcoming all new members with the following graphic (may change in the future) and is re-shared by everyone.

This is very cool of you. This is a great use of microfunding to encourage people to join and take part. Growing the community definitely moves hand in hand with stability.

Welcoming people in is key. People strive for connection. Especially for a Coin of Culture vs a pure speculative token.

What time UTC do you run these?

My guy, you are always thinking, doing, creating, and building. I think this is a great initiative, and do believe we will be seeing a large influx of new users and builders. I say run it!

I’ve been hosting them periodically, based on my schedule availability

I’m thinking the next one could be for Thursday the 26th at 11am MT

Do you think the DAO could help promote to encourage new people to participate?
