In light of this announcement, I’d like to announce that we intend to work with the foundation so that 10% of our net profits from sales of Twisted Ape will go back to the Apecoin DAO.
In our AIP we already propose to allocate 5% of our profits into a community controlled multisig wallet for the benefit of the Apecoin ecosystem. With today’s announcement, we learned that we are in fact allowed to give value back to the DAO, eliminating the need for a multisig.
We are increasing the percentage to 10% of our net profits and will send the funds directly to the Apecoin DAO, following approval and instruction from the foundation to do so.
This percentage is perpetual. As long as Twisted Ape is on the market generating sales, we will continue to share revenue with the DAO.
We hope to set a standard and encourage other authors to present AIPs that offer similar benefits to the Apecoin DAO.
