Bored Baddies powered by ApeCoin (MBA License #00665-1-03597)

TEAM DESCRIPTION:

This is a team of Four Bored Baddies. Baddie #1 is Dr Jojo Odom (TG: @joanneo2024) serves as CEO/Founder and is a current fashion model and actress, and MAYC member. Dr. Odom owns a preloved luxury goods clothing and accessories shop and aside from her experience walking runways, modeling print campaigns and shooting national TV commercials, she has an eye for fashion, for fun and desires to create the best merch for this club.

Baddie #2 is George Gregan (TG: @LondonGeorge) serves as Head of Branding, also known as “Curious George” on X. Mr. Gregan holds an MAYC and comes with 15 plus years experience working in the customer merchandise industry, and has worked with large name clients such as “Amazon, Warner Brothers, Netflix, Facebook…etc”. His expertise is finding unique items and making them as BAD as possible. At ApeFest Lisbon, he gifted some custom ape Hugo Boss wallets, lighters, metallic hip flasks, glow in the dark T-shirts, earbuds and drinkware items.

Baddie #3 is BigLo.Eth (X: @BigLoEth) who serves as our Advisor. His wealth of experience in the music industry, crypto and in streetwear apparel, along with his keen sense of fashion & style make him the perfect fit to advise us as we embark on this BAD adventure together.

Baddie #4 is CyberJakeAped (TG@SniperBlake) who serves as our Advisor. Jake has been deeply involved in the crypto industry since 2014 and began consulting in the Web3 space in 2021. With a background spanning diverse industries and expertise in social media and digital strategy, he brings a wealth of knowledge to decentralized technology and innovation. Passionate about blockchain’s transformative potential, Jake helps businesses navigate and thrive in the evolving Web3 landscape.

PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION:

Bored Baddies is on a mission to create stylish, suave and most importantly, AFFORDABLE merch for ApeCoin members and the BAYC/MAYC. We have recognized that there is a gap in the market for attractive, sleek and stylish BAYC/MAYC affiliated merch for females. All the current merchandise is geared for men. But behind every successful man is a strong woman, and behind every ape is a BADDIE.

Women are under-represented in BAYC/MAYC. But women make up such an important part of the club and the lives of crypto bros. They are our wives, spouses, gf’s, daughters, mothers and future baby mamas of the next generation of Apes. We want to make stylish, suave and affordable merch to gift our female counterparts and entice them to join and/or better understanding the club. We will be launching clothing, apparel initially for woman, and then come out with a line for home, babies, children and men.

We want to do future collaborations with other Made By Ape (MBA) brands or other brands in order to bring them into the Bored Baddies and ApeCoin ecosystem

BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM:

Bored Baddies will benefit the ecosystem in multiple ways

1. ApeCoin holders, depending on the amount of Apecoin held, will be able to redeem free merchandise annually through the store and at Apefest events!!!
2. Additional revenue stream into ApeCoin ecosystem.
3. ApeCoin holders will be able to use ApeCoin to purchase merchandise and will receive discount in the store.
4. Ability to engage more woman to exposure of the ApeCoin ecosystem
5. Collaborations with other Made By Apes (MBA), and other brands will bring more members into the ApeCoin ecosystem.

DEFINITIONS:

MBA = Made By Apes License

STEPS TO IMPLEMENT:

Milestone 1

Start Date - upon funding from DAO

• Renegotiate pricing and then purchase an initial Wholesale order for Basic Line, Home and Accessories Line and Seasonal Line
• Execute development of e-commerce shop
• Implement ape COIN currency into e-commerce shop.
• Start basic marketing for Bored Baddies brand
• Design additional Limited Edition Ape line which grants utility while at Apefest or other events (utility to be confirmed)

Timeline: 1 month

Milestone 2

Start Date - upon completion of milestone 1

• Fulfill customer orders from Milestone 1
• Photo and video shoot to capture product and lifestyle shots
• Upload product listings onto ecommerce site
• Test and launch e-commerce marketplace website with ApeCoin & ApeChain payments
• Presale Limited Edition Ape Line which grants utility while at Apefest or other events (utility to be confirmed)
• Discuss, design and order Apecoin DAO specific merchandise for Apecoin DAO holders
• Ship selected items from Initial wholesale order to BAYC/MAYC KOL’s and Selected Apes for social media marketing (e.g. Ladies of Bored Ape)

Timeline: 2 months

Milestone 3

Start Date - upon completion of milestone 2

• Review sales from Milestone 1 or 2, and determine what item bestsellers and what orders to replenish
• Fulfill customer orders from Milestone 2
• Create entire 2025/2026 line, including price negotiation, design of items and the marketing plan
• Discuss and order Apefest specific merchandise for giveaways, and order marketing collateral
• Partner with Apefest Concierge and other Made By Ape brands on comarketing activations at Apefest
• Advertise to ApeCoin DAO members the availability of ApeCoin Dao free merchandise (TBD) that can be picked up at Apefest Boddega or ApeCoin Dao members can log onto e-commerce site and just have to pay shipping for free items.
• Design and order booth specific materials, including logistic details

Timeline: 3 months

Milestone 4

Start Date - upon completion of milestone 3

• Attend Apefest and coordinate Apefest Giveaways, ApeCoin Dao giveaways at event
• Fulfill Apefest customer orders3
• Presale Next Seasons Items on ecommerce store
• Fulfill customer orders from Milestone 3
• Review sales from Milestone 3 and 4 and determine what item bestsellers and what orders to replenish for next year.
• Review sales and feedback from Apefest, and discuss and begin design for Apefest 2026 items.
• Plan for 2026 – marketing plan, design plan, & booth conference attendance schedules.
• Plan for 2026 KOL Collaboration Partnership #1

Timeline: 6 months

REPORTING EXPECTATIONS:

Semi-annually, a detailed report will be disseminated to the ApeCoin DAO, including, but not limited to
• Total Gross Revenue & Expenses Per Quarter
• Total Profit Per Quarter
• Aggregated metrics on social media such as total views, likes, comments, and other engagement indicators.
• Updated calendar for the events and tradeshows plans or special live events

Reports will be made available for 2 years on the ApeCOIN Forum, via follow-up posts called “Implementation Update”

OVERALL COST:

Total amount requested from the ApeCoin Ecosystem Fund = $146,340.01 USD in Apecoin.

Yes, I know the Bera Baddies folks and shared I was going to start one for Bored Apes. Thank you for the feedback!

My vision for this is;

1. help onboard and educate females thatalready in the lives of BAYC/mayc/apecoin holders as they are incredible supportive partner and friends (I love speaking to the ones where they approved the man spending thousands on a jpeg they didn’t understand )

2. onboard new women in web3 into this environment

3. connect and partner with other groups (like bera baddies) to cross bridge onboard our existing female communities. (I’m part of other female nft and female communities and there is a deep need for this)

Females love merch and especially cute merch to stand for something they share a passion for and believe in

I see a big focus on giveaways. Why not focus on just selling the products?

The focus is on selling products. However ApeFest is a great opportunity to promote the brand live as a lot of potential bored baddies attend. The giveaways are marketing and promotional and a way for me to expand the brand by giving them a sample. People love merch!

I received a question from my team mate about why fund this project versus others?

1. This is the ONLY dedicated business for female merchandise. Guys have had merch for years, yet no one has come up with this for females.

2. I am a new ape and at Apefest, I noticed the trend that majority of the MBA and businesses coming out of Apecoin dao are run by males.

Does this mean that females aren’t able to run successful businesses? Why aren’t females being funded? What does this say for potential female entrepreneurs? I want to lead the way and empower other female apes and the partners, spouses, daughters, sisters of ape members to learn about web3 and be confident they can also have the backing of the ape family

3. I have two AIP - this one and NFT Showroom. Just like some businesses are the livelihood of other apes, this is my livelihood I’m a single mother and my passion and hard work is gone into running other successful online businesses and I intend to do the same with these projects

1. Your Benefits section mentions “Additional revenue stream into ApeCoin ecosystem.” Please provide further details regarding this proposed revenue stream.

Since people can pay with ApeCoin, there is more revenue coming into ApeCoin versus paying with credit card, debit card…etc.

2. Please update your Steps to Implement section to include all associated costs for each of your four stated Milestones. These numbers should align with your Overall Cost request.

This is reflected in the milestone trenching and the attached spreadsheet. Remind me to attach spreadsheet in case I forget

3. Milestone 2 in your Steps to Implement section makes mention of “Discuss, design and order Apecoin DAO specific merchandise for Apecoin DAO holders.” Would the ApeCoin community have an influence in the design of this merchandise, and if so how would members be able to contribute?

4. Your Overall Cost request is stated as $147,000 USD, yet your budget breakdown ($146,340) and your funding tranches ($146,340.01) do not align. Please clarify.

Please update overall cost to $146,340.01. I thought rounding up would make it easier, my bad!

5. Regarding any granted permission to use ApeCoin trademarks by the Ape Foundation, do you expect to maintain full ownership rights to the content and/or IP which may be created as a result of the approval of your proposal?

What do you mean by this? I am happy to use ApeCoin logo and abide by whatever guidelines are necessary.

6. Would your expectation be to keep complete ownership of all content produced from this proposal?

Yes. I do plan to collaborate with other MBA brands where we would co-own what we create and profit share.

7. As per the ApeCoin General Guidelines, “proposals will not be put up for vote if they involve illegal activity, hate speech, pornographic material, or are at odds with the mission or values of the APE Foundation.” Can you ensure that the content produced by Bored Baddies would be in keeping with these guidelines?

8. Your proposal outlines a tiered claim process depending on the amount of ApeCoin held. Please provide more details of these tiers which would be available.

Can we update that it will just be one general tier as this will be easier and more practical to execute. If some members want more, they can just contact me and I can work with them. For example Moca is huge so if more members want more merch and they vote for me… happy to give more merch.

9. Would the claim process or holder discount require Web3 connectivity? If so, what are the plans for security audits?

No Web3 connectivity required. The site is a Shoplifty web2 site and claim will be via a COUPON CODE, which can be community in ApeCoin DAO update or somewhere private (open to recommendations).

10. Do you provide consent to apply updates to the relevant areas of your proposal based on your responses to the questions above?
