This has bugged me for some time now. And in speaking to others - who, for obvious reasons haven’t actually publicly voiced it - I am not alone.
Why are proposals sent to vote out of order?
e.g. Since June 21, I have written…[checks notes]…18 (!!) proposals.

And before you say "It depends on the author", yes, that can be the case. But how does that explain the fact that, in my case, there hasn’t been a single time whereby info was requested by the facilitators or the Special Council regarding my proposals and I haven’t responded in a timely fashion. In fact - and I checked this in the message stream - there hasn’t been an instance whereby I didn’t respond to a proposal query within a 24 hr period.
To wit:
Yesterday’s voting cycle has the following proposals:
p-date = date proposal first posted
f-date = date final material response/change added to the proposal
v-date = date proposal sent to vote
AIP | P-DATE | F-DATE | V-DATE |
---|---|---|---|
AIP-489: Restoring Balance | 07/03/24 | 07/22/24 | 08/15/24 |

AIP-463: Empowering Otherside Wiki | 06/19/24 | 07/16/24 | 08/15/24 |
AIP-457: The Public Bored - Phase 2 | 06/13/24 | 07/24/24 | 08/15/24 |
While there are instances whereby some otherwise completed proposals require follow-up from the facilitators, that’s immaterial to the queue itself when you look at the time lapse between the last material (critical revisions) response, the creation date, and the voting date.
For example: With no more responses required for AIP-464 (06/19/24, 06/29/24), how is it that AIP-468 to AIP-489 are up for vote?
We saw this happen with AIP-454 [Banana Bill] which went up on June 13th, and was up for vote on June 20th. However, with the impending release (currently delayed) of ApeChain, it made sense for this proposal and similar infra and/or vital proposals be sent to vote as soon as is reasonably possible. And because there was a lot of noise surrounding that proposal leapfrogging others, I wrote AIP-475 to make it official and to alleviate such musings related to such impactful proposals.
So, this doesn’t make any sense to me - at all. And so, I would very much like an explanation from the @Facilitators or the @Stewards_Governance
